What would YOU do?

Looking for suggestions on a few things. We get to WDW about every 3 years, headed back this year 11/28-12/5.

We arrive at MCO at 11:30am on 11/28, taking DME to ASMusic. What park would you go to on that first day? I've found potential park hours of AK 9am-6pm (possibly until 8pm), Epcot 9am-9:30pm, HS 9am-10pm & MK 8am-12am. We do have park hopper, but not sure we would use it on the first day. We are typically RD to park close type of people. (Have to consider this is the Saturday after Thanksgiving and expected to still have heavy crowds. Will probably avoid MK for this reason)

Next question...We have DP. Would you do a QS or TS the first day? Have an idea of the restaurants we are hoping to get reservations for (see below) and will probably use one TS & one QS each day except for the first and last day. I realize this question depends a lot on the answer to the first question. If you would do TS, what is the EARLIEST you would schedule?

On the final day we have a flight out of MCO at 6:15pm. Deliberately scheduled a later flight so we could get some park time in on the last day. What park would you go to this day? Potential park hours: AK 9am-6pm (probably wouldn't do this park), Epcot 9am-9:30pm, HS 9am-8pm & MK 9am-10pm. And would you go with TS or QS on this day?

Here are the TS meals we are thinking, if that makes any difference in your suggestions: Tusker House (breakfast), Whispering Canyon Café (supper), Trails End Restaurant (supper), 50s Prime Time (supper), Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch), 'Ohana (breakfast-planning on 12/4, for DD's 10th birthday), Akershus (breakfast).

And a final question...what time do you suggest for TS meal times? Because of the time of year we are going, I'm thinking there might be a lot of EMH in am, so do we plan breakfast as late as possible and hope to get some rides done before breakfast? And what's a good time for supper without losing too much park time?

Thanks for any suggestions! I realize that everyone has different opinions and typically I LOVE planning these things out. But I'm a week away from making Dining Reservations and am overwhelmed and struggling with this.

I would avoid TB the first day, just incase your plan gets delayed and the cancel fee, but if your not picky you could always call dining hotline after you land to see what is available.

since its a Saturday right now they are saying Epcot or AK is best.

If your hit the ground running maybe AK till close and then hop over to Epcot and use cs .

or AK and then hit MK for possible extra magic hours.

If your the relaxing touring people then I would just pick the world show case for the evening and relax at the pool after arrival.

First, picking which park to go to on which day is relatively easy. I base mine on the recommended parks from easywdw.com. You are given a detailed discussion of what you can expect from crowds and other factors for each park for each day. Note that EMH parks are almost never recommended on any day because they tend to be more crowded than the other parks that day. The smart money says enjoy your morning EMH, as long as you are there when they open the gates and then use your park hopper to move to the most recommended park later in the morning. Save your FPs for the second park. You can use these recommended parks to plan your park days, and then make your ADRs based on which park you will be in each day. If you are doing a breakfast, either do it pre RD on a non EMH morning or do it later in the morning so you can take advantage of the low crowds and short lines in the early morning. Especially on your first and last days, when you will only have a partial day, I'd stick with the recommended park and not hop.

On your last day, ME will be leaving your resort around 3:15, so you will want to be back at your resort shortly after 2.

Caution...Caution. DME is not very magical with a Saturday arrival. It took us 4 hours gate to hotel lobby in September.

very Good point. Im going to do DME on a Tuesday, but Saturday would be longer, so car service is always better if your will to pay for it.

Im really debating if I want a car service or not right now even thou its a slow Tuesday.
