Spring Break for the kids this year is Easter week. YUCK!!! :sad2: So there are no discounts at all. We have decided to go to Universal (Royal Pacific) and then possibly split it with a short WDW stay at the end. (Would just be me and the 2 kids) We will probably be in Florida 7 nights total. Rates are crazy high, about $200 for a value resort is the cheapest, deluxe resorts are all $600-800 a night for standard. No way we would pay that much.

Which would you do:

I picked #1.

Although you could save money staying off property for the three nights, the traffic Easter week is absolutely horrible. To me, it's worth the extra money to not have to deal with that going to and from the parks. If it had been almost any other time of year, that would have been my first choice, and #1 second to save you money, but I think the convenience factor, especially if the parks start closing due to capacity, will more than make up for the additional cost.

I thought about pricing out a moderate, but I figured with just 3 of us we might as well go value. I just suggested AoA to the kids and they both said GREAT until I told them it would be Little Mermaid themed :duck: then they both said "no way".

We would be there 3/25-3/28 which is Monday-Thursday, so I'm hoping we will get out of there before the real crazy Easter crowds come in for the weekend. Will that make a difference???

I would stay at RPR and then move somewhere on Disney property. If the kids aren't too excited about the Little Mermaid theme maybe they would prefer Pop Century?

I might have to veto the kids because I'd really like to try AoA and see what its like. :)
