Okay My mother's brother (my Uncle) has 2 kids a 2 year old and a 4 year old. She told me that on Saturday at the 2 year olds birthday party my uncle's wife's niece was playing with the 2 year old and that she would stick out her tongue and show the 2 year old her pierced tongue. She even let her play with it and the 2 year old started pointing at it and pointing at her own tongue. When my mom told me I told her she should tell her brother about it, but she wont so I said I would. And she asked me not to. But I can't I love the 2 kids to death. And when I was young my uncle kept me out of trouble and took care of me and I want to do the same for his kids.I spoil them as often as I can. And seeing that my uncle is only 7 years my senior made him like an older brother too me.

What would you do???

I would probably find a light-heartedly way to bring it up. I would not be comfortable in keeping it to myself, either.

Maybe the next time you see him, you could say something about, "Are you going to get your tongue pierced, too? Boy, the kids played got lots of fun out of hers!". If he acts surprised, then fill him in. He may already know about it.

BTW, I think that you were saying the the girl took out the piercing jewelry and let the toddle play with it, right? Yep, that would be a health and safety issue for me, too!

Since you didn't actually see it happen, you probably shouldn't say anything.

It's very sweet and kind of you to be concerned about your uncle's kids, but assuming that he was there and you were not, it's overstepping what's your own business.

You might casually mention it somehow. Like "hey I heard_____ was letting the baby play with her pierced tongue(or whatever). Did you know anything about it? She must not realize that it's not safe or healthy, especially for a toddler."

Or something like that. :)

Well I called him and not only was he not happy to hear it,he also said he was upset that the older boy was teasing the 4 year old. He is going to discuss it with his wife

Go get'em Uncle Joey :)
