Hey everyone !
I have interesting news. My cousin, who was supposed to be the matron of honor in my wedding, is pregnant and due a week or so after the wedding. Which we're all excited for her, of course, but she won't be able to travel during that time period.
She is the only one that was going to stand up for me in my wedding, as I wanted a really small wedding party.
Would it be weird looking if just my fiance had a best man and I didn't have anyone? I just don't want to go through the drama of having another maid of honor or bridesmaid.
I really prefer no one as attendants, but what would you guys do? I'm so happy to have another cousin on the way but I'm bummed because now I don't have anyone standing for me. As it is, my family is going to be with her and might not be able to attend the wedding, as it's all happening around the same time frame.
We have a 12 year old whose parents are good, good friends of our family and I was considering asking her, as I know she would be so excited to be in it, but my heart's just not in it. I don't want her to feel like I asked her as 'second best', does that make sense?
I don't know what to do. I would appreciate opinions. I can't move the wedding because we've already signed the contract for the place. Thanks !
