We will be heading down to WDW for a few days at the end of February and DH has to go to two days of meetings on a sat and sun. I don't know what to do with myself? we have annual passes, but i'm a big baby and i've never gone to the parks alone. Not out of fear , but it has just never happened. I guess i should look at it as a first time opportunity. i'm taking suggestions. thanks.

I volunteer to go with you! ;)

Seriously, I would go to the parks. If you feel totally akward, you could always go back to your hotel and hang out at the pool.

If the park thing doesn't work for you hit Downtown Disney and shop until you drop! :)

Enjoy the pool. Go take a walk at the Boardwalk or rent a bike.

Go for a horseback ride at Fort Wilderness.

Hit Basin then go back and soak in the tub in your room.

Enjoy yourself and you quiet time. I have to admit I'm jealous, I have a toddler at home, I'd give for some alone time!

I understand just how you feel. i would be the same way. I guess I might attempt to go to Epcot. this is one park that we always seem to rush through and I would enjoy touring this one alone. but quite honestly if I had the two days alone I would enjoy my time by the resort pool and utilize the spa.

good luck. enjoy whatever you do.

Definatly go , you will have fun!! I go to Disney myself most of the time and so tour the parks by myself and have a blast!!

I would go to the parks and go shopping or to Epcot and spend extra time in WS or maybe visit and look around some of the resorts.

I would get a spa treatment somewhere, and then head to the parks. Having 3 dks in tow I would love to be able to just go at my own pace, have a drink and watch all the action, and even go on some rides. It is definitely more special with the ones you love, but heck, there's a whole forum on solo at WDW. Check out that thread too! Have a blast.

I did it this past week! I had business in Orlando on Wednesday & Thursday. Wednesday night I went to Downtown Disney & Premium Outlets. Thursday night I stayed at BCV and went to MK & Epcot (Illuminations). Yesterday I went to MGM and Epcot. I enjoyed it, just doing what I wanted to do.

I have done it while my DW was in meetings; it is great fun. This March she is going to Anaheim for a conference and I'm going to Disneyland! :thumbsup2

If you're concerned about being in the parks alone, then hang by the pool, go to a spa, have a pedicure, go shoppping. do the "monorail resorts tour".

Go to the parks. I think you will quickly find you enjoy the freedom to do what you want when you want, go on what you want to go on, shop and browse the stores as long as you like etc. It's very relaxing in the parks solo.

I would go to Epcot. The last time we were there I was saying to my husband I wish we lived in the area, it would be such an excersize and escape for me to come and just do laps around the lake. Look at all the shops and entertainers that perform and people watch. Enjoy it, it is a wonderful chance to do what YOU want.

Go relax at Epcot. Sit on a few park benches and just take it all in!

Book a day at the spa!! I woulld love to have the time to do that!!

Then I would go see all the shows I wanted to that my DH really doesn't (but sit through anyway cause he loves me!! :cloud9: )

Whatever you decide, have fun!!!

You could also do a special tour at a park, that way you'd be with a tour group. :) There are many different ones and they are really fun.

I agree, go shopping at the parks or enjoy Epcot by yourself and enjoy the moment. If it were me, I would probably go to MK and try to find hidden Mickeys or all those theme park secrets that the Imagineers placed around the park. I love going to the parks with my DH and family, but it would be a dream day to go by myself.

I tag along with my dh when he goes to a conference every year during the week of Easter. I take this time to enjoy the parks (solo til he gets out of his meetings) from a different, non-commando (which we always unintentionally do) perspective. Take some time to scout out a good spot (such as the rocking chairs on Tom Sawyer's Island @ Polly's) and people watch. Take advantage of the single riders lines, ride the train 2 or 10 or 20 times in a row:) I did that last year, I think I stayed on the train for almost a half an hour! Enjoy yourself!
