What would you do - WH townhome or condo?

We finally decided to go with WH and need help deciding between a 2 BR condo or a 3 BR townhome. The difference is between $100-$200 and I love the idea of a splash pool in the townhome. But, it is only DH, my 3 year old daughter, and myself so we really do not need that extra bedroom and another bigger family may.

Do the townhomes really have a different feeling then the condos? What do you prefer???

I would definitely go with the townhouse. You and DH could go for a swim while DD is napping or down for the night! I would imagine that for a condo you might be on the second or third floor. With a townhouse you would probably have parking right outside the front door and although the bedrooms are likely on the second floor, you would have ground floor access to the space. If you can swing the extra money, I would go for it.

I agree with the townhouse. We stayed in townhouses twice and as was mentioned you can park right beside your door, which makes it easy for carrying in your groceries or a sleeping child. The master bedroom and Kid/twin bedroom are both on the 2nd floor, each with a bathroom. The washer/dryer is up there too. There's usually a queen bed in the bedroom downstairs and a bathroom. The only thing you might be concerned with is the stairs if DD isn't use to them but some owners have gates to use for kids.
You can sit in your splash pool and see straight through to the front door. You can also watch tv through the glass doors from the splash pool. It is nice to have your own pool for a quick soak when you get back from the parks without having to get everything gathered up to go to the main pool or when one of you is getting lunch ready the other can be with DD in the pool. That's my two cents worth.

I appreciate your replies, it confirmed what I was thinking. I do not think I would regret spending the extra $$$. Now all I have to do is find the perfect one!
