update no longer need this question :)

We are a family of 3, Mom, Dad and a 4 year old. We are heading to Disneyland in December and currently have booked Disney's bus transportation to get to our hotel. (we don't want to bring the carseat on the trip) It's $180 on the Disney Express roundtrip. There is also a car service (carseat included) for $170 roundtrip. If I remember last time we took Disney Express (been a couple of years) it took forever between picking people up and dropping them off. :worried: When we did the Disney Cruise we used a car service 2 times this last year and it worked out well. But this is a much longer drive LAX to Disneyland. Here is the deal:

DISNEYLAND SPECIAL

Disneyland
LAX FROM/TO DISNEYLAND RESORT, ANAHEIM
$88.00 / 1 WAY FLAT ,
$170.00 /ROUND TRIP FLAT

FLAT RATE INCLUSIVE DRIVER GRATUITY
FLEET : LINCOLN TOWN CAR OR CHEVY BLACK SUBURBAN
FREE 1 STOP AT GROCERY STORE EN ROUTE IF WANT - 20 MIN.
MEET AND GREET SERVICE - AIRPORT PICK UP
PROVIDE COMPLIMENTARY BOTTLE WATER
PROVIDE CAR OR BOOSTER SEAT- NO CHARGE

The company is DKS Livery Service.

Anyone used them? Or anyone have an opinion on what they would do??

Thanks!
Christine

We got DLE shuttle vouchers for MUCH less on getawaytoday.com.

That being said, it looks like a great deal for the car service! I haven't used them, but I think others on this site have.

I'm not sure where you got the $180 price for round trip from LAX to Disney via Disneyland Resort Shuttle, but you can get a round trip voucher for up to 5 ppl. for $99.00. We're using ours next week when we go. If you only have 3 though, I'm thinking they're regular price per person would be around $80-$90 for 2 adults and 1 child. It's on there website, there are also $5 coupons (5 off per person, so that'd help you even more). Just google it.

We purchased a Disneyland vacation package through Disney and they quoted the Disney Express Bus at $89 each was for the 3 of us. I think your resort shuttle might be different?
:confused3

Disneyland Resort Express LAX Family Pass $99 (up to 5 people)

Personally, I would not use a borrowed car seat. That would be a deal breaker for me. I would either take the bus or bring my child's own seat that I know the history and treatment of. But children's car seat safety is *very* important to me.

I've never used a car service for Disneyland, only Disneyworld. That said, it was the best thing since sliced bread, and would do it again in a heartbeat, especially with a preschooler in tow.

Have fun!

Ok Thanks for making me call Disney on the phone to verify...;) The email quote they sent said $89 each way for the 3 of us. (we've not made final payment yet) But on the phone Disney said that the $89 was total. Sheez. MUCH better. So my question is now no longer needed. We will stick to to the Disney Bus. :thumbsup2

I agree, that price seems way too high. Please let us know which option you end up choosing. Have a great trip! :thumbsup2

Ok thanks everyone! Going with the Disney Bus. This will probably be my first and last time using Disney to book my Disney vacation. I'm too much a control freak with vacation details.:rotfl::rotfl: I think I prefer to do it myself. :thumbsup2
