What would you do to change OKW?

I would like to see housekeeping take an inventory at the beginning and end of each stay and CHARGE people who take the stuff.
I still cannot fathom what is so attractive about throw pillows, pot holders, placemats and napkins.
You can still request placemats, however, last week no more napkins. Not a biggie, but, I liked them.
I would love adult only buildings, both smoking and non smoking so we old fogies who enjoy Disney don't have to hear screaming and crying and temper tantrums. We could enjoy more adult noises like , whooping it up till all hours. :) Have an adult building party without worrying about waking the kids.
And.....NO I don't want a slide.

Here's my list but not necessarily complete or in order of importance.

1) More parking at the Hospitality House for easier access to the main pool.

2) A foot bridge over the waterway adjacent to Penninsular Road, placed across from building 28 to the tennis court area. Again to provide easier access to the main pool.

3) More deck space, lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas at each pool. I like my neighbor, but I don't need to be so close that I get splashed by their suntan lotion. (Don't laugh it happened)

4) Sidewalks. What's with sidewalks that end at shrubbery? We should never have to walk behind parked autos. This really annoys me and we don't even have children to keep track of. The only time a pedestrian should mix with traffic is if they have to cross one of the main roads.

5) Screened in balconies.

6) More grand villas.

7) High speed internet access.

Its almost perfect as it is. I love the quiet pools where I can read to my hearts content and relax.

A few more trumbo boats to Downtown Disney and non stick frying pans! I would like to see screen doors on the patio door, so we can open the door and leave it open when the weather is nice and not risk getting those dang mosquitos in the villa!

Great idea! I also agree with the non-stick frying pan for the studios and or 1 bdrms. How about an electric griddle for breakfasts in the 2 bdrm/ GV.

Bravo with inventory the room before & after guest leaving. The nerve of some people.

The place is beautiful! I was not that into it the 1st time we stayed but grew to Love it this year when we stayed for 10 days.

I like it just the way it is but since you ask....'d like to see an additional restaurant, room service (Olivia's open later), an adults only neighborhood and pool, screens and new merchandise.

For purely selfish personal reasons - I'd like to see a few of the one bed units with 2 queen beds in the bedroom. This would in effect mean that they could sleep 6 (and so would be a good bridge between the existing one and two bed units) but also would give a family like ours more flexibility with sleeping arrangements, when ds & dd can't share a bed.

Since we usually eat our big mealof the day at lunchtime, I'd like to see either a) more sandwich/snack/lighter items on Olivia's menu in the evenings -or- b) a smaller enclosed restaurant that serves light evening meals, perhaps an ice cream parlor/sandwich shop type thing - either table service :) or counter, as long as it is enclosed.

Today being the first day of my husband's retirement (yeh!!!), we had plenty of time to ponder this question. So....

We think that an additional building should be built at the end of Turtle Krawl (where the bocci court is), and then move all of the present sites over (just past Good's Food to Go), creating room for an enclosed snack food area. The next building should then be the Game Room with interior access to the new snack area, followed by the Community Hall/Hank's Rent 'N Return, the Fitness Center/Slappy Joe's, etc. (or whatever order seems best). With this new configuration, there is room to expand the laundry room across the way also!!

What do you think?

Being a mother of a 5 year old and a 19 month old, I agree with the "adults only" building. Believe it or not, I have had MANY people give me some pretty horrible stares when we walked out of our room when our kids were "noisy". Not only would it make us with children feel better, but give the ones without a break. Of course, this is DISNEY.

SLIDE is imperative. We love the BWV slide so much! :jester:

In the past, I've ordered sandwiches from Olivia's lunch menu at suppertime, but this year I was told the chef wouldn't allow it anymore. :( We weren't in the mood for a big meal, so we left and ate elsewhere.

As for what I'd change about OKW, I can't think of anything. I loved it the way it was when we bought in '94 and I still love it. I do miss the walkway that used to be behind the Commodore House.

I want high speed internet access, going back to dial up is very painful. My wife would love to get the flushers on the toilets replaced with something that's easier to operate.

How about those automatic ones in the House of Innoventions? :Pinkbounc

Yeah, high speed internet is definitely a priority.

New order:

High speed internet

Non-stick pans

60" Plasma TV......at least in the Grand Villas

I would settle for a monorail stop and a non-stick pan.

Rich,
Does that mean you don't want the monorail going through OKW?

What is difficult about pushing a button?

I don't even want to know there is an internet when I am in paradise like OKW!

No complaints about anything. I love okw for what it is.

OK--well maybe a nice slide like at Vero or HH.

Elevators! Also, ice machines closer for those using studio accomdations! I enjoyed the resort . After all it is Disney! ( smile)

She says she breaks too many nails since the button is hard to press.
