Hi all!

Almost a year after my last trip and avoiding the disboards due to pure jealousy of all your trips I'm back and hopefully planning a trip for next year! I'm hoping to save like crazy and head back to WDW at the very end of August - beginning of September 2014 as a late 21st birthday celebration.

Now I know its mainly too early to look at flights as you can't book them just yet for our dates however Fly Thomas Cook are giving us a price of £956 for the two of us from MAN to MCO ( 28th Aug - 11th Sept). My question to you is, is this a good deal? Would you book these flights or wait until Virgin and the like release their dates?

I can't actually book anything til I've talked it over with my friend and his parents when he's back from his holidays next week however i seem to be up at 3am stressing over it all! :surfweb:

Hi:goodvibes

Sorry, should have added, it is very rare for Virgin to be anything but up there with the most expensive. At less than £500 per seat I'd get booking!

I'd get booking too, we are going at the beginning of Aug 2014 and I'm going to start looking at the weekend but may look at Thomas Cook now, I didn't realise they flew into MCO, but if they do

Good luck with the booking :) :thumbsup2

That seems like a great price - we are trying to source flights for the start of July next year and it seems like we will be having to pay closer to £1,000 per person.

You should definitely book - watch out for the extras that TC charge like extra baggage, food and drink etc, but still a brilliant price.

Book it! We flew Thomas Cook last time and although we are flying Virgin next year I'd fly with Thomas Cook again very new plane, good films and pre booked seats so it was just the two of us near the back of the plane so we didn't have anyone next to us :)

Thanks for all your help!! I'm just going to have to hope that those prices are still available once I can confirm dates with my friend!

So excited to finally be back planning! :)

Glad to see you posting again :goodvibes

As I posted a while back FlyTC are doing some really good prices for next summer from Manchester. :goodvibesAlthough prices do drop for the end of August you are not going to get much better than that for a direct flight.

Don't forget Quidco, not much at £8 but better than nothing. http://www.quidco.com/fly-thomas-cook/?ac

My question for the TA would be to know if it's a fixed price, or just an estimated price.

August/September airfaires are not released yet.

Some TAs announce prices so they have your money, and hold you more or less captive. And once the airfaires are released (11 months out) they send the real invoice ..

so the question is : is this a guaranteed, or provisionnal price ?

if it's guaranteed, then book. If not, the final price might not be this good a deal.

I would book at that price, wish I could get a direct price like that from Glasgow in July.

They are not with a TA, they are direct with the airline (Thomas Cook), they are one of the few who release flights beyond 11 months.:thumbsup2 http://www.flythomascook.com/
