What would you do for a last minute trip ?

Wow! I just looked it up, it looks like a lot of fun and great drinks !I can't believe that we've been to the Poly many times ,and and even stayed there ,and we did not know about this place!
We will definitely have to visit this time, and then with my adult kids and husband!
thank you again for the idea

Just make sure you're there when they open, this place gets real busy and can be hard to get into. They only allow so many people in at a time. If you go I hope you have a good time. DH and I shared a Nautilus when we went and of course we bought a souvenir Nautilus to bring home, it was fun. Enjoy! pixiedust:

Thank you for the advice. So, if we want to go at night time, when only over 21 are admitted , do we have to be there when they open ?
We could do that, and go eat at Gayser Point while we wait , maybe ? or do we have to stay at the Poly ?

Can you still rent bikes at WL? I would maybe do that to take a tour of the campground Halloween decorations. And would stick around for the fireworks and nighttime floats. I hate Disney Springs....so I’m no help there. Unless you have a car going to Port Orleans might be difficult. And get to AK as early as possible. Avatar line wasn’t bad but I was parking the car at 7:20 am. Everyone was allowed through the main turnstiles, but there was a secondary crew checking bands before you could continue on.

Sounds like a fun trip. No matter what you do, it will be great. You will love the Riviera.
Sorry to hijack the thread, do you mean you got to the park entrance around the start of the extra time for onsite guests and you could ride FoP without a long line? That would be great news.

Yes we have done this in the past. We are always early risers, get to rope drop and off FoP before the park opening list time is even done. Yes you do wait in line technically before the park opens, but not for the ride, Then like rope drop everywhere the other rides are less busy since most are waiting now for the headliners.

So, long story short, I was able to put together a last minute 3 night trip for one of my best friends and myself ( both of us needed to get away, lol )
First time going without our husbands or other family members.

We are staying the first night at CCR and the other two in a standard studio at Riviera ( still surprised that I was able to get those nights this week!)

We arrive on Oct 31st around noon . I'm having trouble deciding what to do our first non park day. So far, after leaving our luggage at CC, we wanted to take a boat to MK to take some pictures outside and then go to the Poly for a late lunch and a Lapu Lapu, of course!

We may go by the GF to maybe the enchanted Rose for a cocktail and to look around ( not sure about this yet )

Later on, I don't know if we should just stay by CC , go to the Wilderness Campground to look around at all the decorations , or if we she should go to Disney Springs. The problem, we also want to watch the new MK fireworks and love Gayser Point !

The next day, we are going to Epcot and maybe HS for a little while, than back to Epcot for the extra evening hours ( YAY )

During our second park day, we will have to make it for Early Hours at AK to ride Avatar , stay there for a while and possible go have a late lunch at AK. Later on, go back to Epcot to F&W

Now that I'm writing about it, I realized that we also want to visit Port Orleans to see the show that it's back, and we also want to visit CB since we will be at Riviera, plus the Boardwalk. Maybe our last day we can do some of those things. Never enough time, LOL

Any other ideas are welcome !

My friend doesn't go to DW as often as I do, and when they go, they stay off site. She is pretty easy going and she is leaving all the planning to me.

TIA
Have a great time!

Yes, but the key here was I drove and did not take the bus. Previously Unicorn lot had been closed off, but was open this trip (that is the closest regular lot). I was a bit behind the crowd going thru the turnstile (no line to speak of....they may have opened a few minutes early) and then just a short stop at the next lines where there were 3 CMs with the portable band scanners checking everyone....you were not allowed in if not staying at the selected resorts. Then power walking to Avatar. After that safari was a walk on as was Everest. Avatar is a long walk even once you get on line....it moved slowly but kept on moving, if that makes sense.
