What would you do? Flight questions Milwaukee or Midway??

I just saw a sale on ME for $163, but only for like Tues, Wed. That is a great price but bad days. Check Travelocity
I keep hoping for a DING out of Midway.

There is a fare right now MDW to MCO. Unfortunatelyt for the OP SWA is only booking until 10/28, but I checked and it is available for 10/26 on all flights. If it were me I would wait until SWA releases the next set of flights, and hope for a good ding fare. As Robin said, I don't think the WI school schedule will radically increase demand for flights out of MDW. Hope you get it! :flower:

Yes, the Ding! fare is a tasty $115 RT (with *all taxes*) for 10/26 - 10/28. My guess that a Sunday return will bring it up a bit to the $130-$150 range.

We are doing a trip Sunday through Sunday (8/21-8/28) and our Ding fare was still $115, so I actually don't know that the return date will effect the fare. Now she just has to be patient, and I know how hard that is! :rotfl2:

Check southwest~! When we were looking for flights for my parents in late August it was WAY WAY WAY cheaper for them to fly on Southwest out of Midway then for them to fly out of Milwaukee on ANY airline! My dad, however, didn't want to deal with driving three hours to Chicago and dealing with the traffic so he spent the extra money and did MKE.

www.swa.com is Southwest's website I believe.

yup- I got it- now to pray for a good one for the way back when they release their schedule! I was happy to get it- I kept missing the other ones due to indecision on flight times. What is so nice about SW, is that you can pick your day and time. All the other discounted flights I find are for Tues/Wed, but I got a Fri out and direct! Now, if we could all just convince them to do a better job of releasing their schedule on a more frequent basis. I think we are going to drive and park. When we go out of Ohare, we usually do the park and fly, but the hotels are more $$ out of Midway for some reason. Never been to Midway- any tips??

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Select a few weeks ago on a Priceline bid. It was very nice, the staff was nice and there was an on-demand shuttle that went to all the hotels in the hotel complex and then off to the airport and the El to downtown. I paid about $55 per night and that included the weekend. I suspect that if you wanted to leave your car for longer, you would have to pay their park-n-fly rates.
