What Would YOU Do Different?!

Everyone seems to have their own opinion on the castle during the celebration. Some like it, some prefer it unchanged, some don't really care.

I was just wondering what YOU would do with the castle/park for the 50th year Celebration of Disneyland?!

(let's be adults about this too...nobody can bash someone elses idea )

I really like the gold accents, but not the gold animals or the mirror so much. I think the gold accents on the turrets, etc. alone would have just made it a little extra elegant...but who knows. Maybe I would have wanted more if that's all they did!

I too like the gold accents and hopefully they will keep it that way. BUT..what is up with that gaudy huge mirror on the center?!? This is not Snow White's Castle!!

First of all, I'd just tear the whole thing down. I've never really been fond of castles, they're just so tacky. Cinderella's Castle sticks out like a sore thumb.

















......Kidding! I LOVE the new look of the Castle. It looks beautiful and I wouldn't change it at all. I can't wait to see it in October! Also, I can't wait to go to Disneyland in December and see Sleeping Beauty's Castle also!!

I like it also. Love the gold accents. But I have to say that the mirror looks a little out of place...almost makes the Castle look like it could tip over!! But, I'm hoping that when the 'scenes' of the other castles start up, it will look more in tune with the rest of the Castle. I don't think I would do anything different. I know a lot of people were not so happy with the birthday cake castle, but hey...it went back to normal. Maybe they will take away the characters and leave some of the turrets golden. Love that effect.

Would any of you do something completely different? Such as graffitti "Happy 50th B-Day D-Land" all over the castle for the 18 months? Of course I don't mean THIS in particular, but do you all have any different ideas?

Ummm,am thinking that maybe the Imagineers got confused as "Mirror, Mirror on the wall etc" is Snow White, is it not? LOL Have not seen the castle myself yet so cannot add my comments. The only change that they have made lately, re decorations, that I liked was the Mickey Hand over Spaceship Earth. The rule seems to be not to mess with old favorites.

i know i've said this a million times but me being wendy and my brother being peter we are extremely excited bout the castle decore since they top the castle. it just makes everything a lil more special this trip for us. i enjoy the extra jazz they are adding for the celebration. i think they should do it. just as long as it is never hot pink and inflatable again i'm a ok.

wdarling, I hear you! We were there when the castle was pink. Pink happens to be my favorite color but that was a disaster. Looked like it belonged in Wonkaland rather than DW. Messing with the castle is a bit like messing with the Statue of Liberty, could be done but best not. LOL
