Thanks everyone! I appreciate your help!

I should state that while my AAA TA didn't know about it this morning & I did send her the info, I can't say that she isn't able to help me yet! I have always been very happy w/her help & don't want to cancel because I do want her to get the commission. I just seem to have an OCD when it comes to planning my Disney trips & don't want to miss out!! :0) Tuesday morning can't come fast enough!!

Just wanted to see what you all had to say! I love these boards for that! It really helps! I guess I will keep my fingers crossed that she will come through for me tomorrow morning! Sending myself some Pixe Dust I guess!! :wizard:

Thanks again!
Jen

I'm in the same boat as you Jen! We booked AAA about a month ago paying for dining. My dad went in to talk to her this morning and she said not to worry that she had no problem changing them over last year and that she didn't anticipate a problem this time. She is supposed to call me tomorrow with the details. I am nervous too because they don't open till 9....that is a 2 hr jump that everyone else will have. I don't know if I should cross my fingers and wait for her or try and book on my own incase she has trouble? :confused3

Anyone know if I can book through Disney CRO when we already have a AAA ressie and then just call back and cancel the Disney one tomorrow if the AAA TA has no problems? I'd hate to do that but I will soooooo cry  if I don't do anything and the rooms are sold out at POR by then.

I'm sorry for the problems some of you are having with your AAA agents. Maybe they have to learn about the offer. I wouldn't give up on them.

My AAA agent does not work on the weekends. I emailed her and left a telephone message about the free dining plan (I included the codes) and how I wanted her to change my reservation to include it. I called her about 9:30 AM on Monday and she said she just got off the phone with Disney and that my reservation was changed to include the free dining plan. She has already sent me a confirmation email.

I guess they need to hear about the offer from Disney before they know what to do.

I called AAA Saturday around noon - this is the first I've made a reservation through them. The TA, as soon as I said special deal, said "The free dining, right?". So she knew about it. She gave me the quote and asked if she should hold it for me for up to seven days - I said yes, because I still had to ask my other half. I returned to the house from doing just that when the TA called me back to say Disney'd told her it had to be booked, couldn't be held. Of course, I said book it since I was ready. The only odd thing was she said it had to be paid in full then, not just a $200 deposit. Since I was using the Disney Visa, that was fine since it's no interest for six months for packages. (She also asked me what credit card I was using?)

The rate I received for three nights at a Value, two adult one day base tickets, and the free dining was $398.94 - not sure if there's a AAA room discount in there or not - I don't think so - the same quote on Disney's site is $404.32.

Just got an email from my AAA TA & she said that her marketing person was told by their (Disney?) sales rep about the special, but it wasn't available until Thursday???

We also have an online booking engine. I checked this morning and the online booking engine is not going to be available until Thursday. But the free dining promo flyer is on the site, with the special code for AAA. Disney has FINALLY informed us! 'Bout time!

(And before I get any responses for "you can't book AAA with free dining, you'll be stacking discounts!" we are able to book with all the AAA benefits, like the Diamond Card, hertz upgrades, AAA Parking at the theme parks, character storytelling...etc..etc..)

yellowfish, that's great!

So do you know if you can transfer a reservation to AAA if you make it yourself, and does the agent still get paid on it?

OP here...and I just got word (925am) that my rese was changed to free dining! Woo Hoo!! Glad my AAA TA was able to get through & get my resort/dates! She did tell me that I was no longer going to receive the clock voucher or the photo pass voucher, which is too bad, but that's alright w/me! She just knocked off $372+ for us!

Thanks again for everyone's advice yesterday! Good luck to everyone today!

My AAA agent helped me out as well. I had to make my ADR's on Monday so Sunday night, when I heard about the free dining, I went into panic mode and booked another trip (same time, same package) through Disney. I called Monday to cancel with AAA and found out that I would lose $120 if I made the cancellation, but I was ready to chalk it up as a loss and still come out $200 ahead. My AAA agent called me back, even though I had canceled and worked it out with Disney that AAA could offer me the same rate and free dining, but with the AAA perks and I wouldn't lose the insurance.

She is the best and has spent hours getting a good deal for me, so I'm glad to give her my business.
