So, if you were able to pick any job at Fort Wilderness, and you didn't care about money, or anything like that, what would your dream job be?

This may not be specific Fort but, every trip I think about how cool it would be to Captain the boats.I love being on the water and think that driving a boat all day would ROCK.pirate:

Yea, that's my personal choice, and since it does connect to the Fort in a way, I guess we're allowed it....lol ;)

I would LOVE to work in the stables...lead the trail rides, take care of horses.. Probably my TWO favorite things...horses and Disney!!! My Dream job!!!! Sign me up!!!! :cool2:

I agree with the horses. My DD who turns 12 this month is a huge horse fan. She mucks stalls, grooms the horses etc at the stables she goes to. That would definitely be her dream job too. She wants to be a vet and I'm pushing her to get a job at AKL. We'd have to visit a lot, right? You know, just to visit our "baby", not because we wanted to go to WDW.;)

Hmm...good question. I know my husband has said the same about the marina..and the boats. That when he retires he would enjoy doing something like that. Good part of that would be..they actually would belong to Disney..and you don't have to spend the money yourself repairing and maintaining them! (Can you tell we've been there/done that?:lmao: )

I think I would do something with gardening...between the landscaping and greenery at Disney..I'm sure there is something I could do. Of course this would require my driving around in a Golf Cart all day..with my gardening supplies and sun screen!:flower3:

My dream job would be to be a Mystery Camper (sort of like a mystery shopper). No one would know I actually worked there because I would only be enjoying the facilities...not working. :rotfl2:

Golf cart Police......::cop:

Someone has to enforce the rules.....

I think my job was the best when for WDW. I work at the round house. It is the maintenance depot but I worked all over FW from the bike barn to boat rentals. I knew people that ran the boats most of them liked it but a very high tune over.

I wouldnt settle for anything less than "King of Fort Wilderness"
I love a benevolent dictatorship :lmao:

Anywhere but the front desk, lol. I was up there twice and those poor CM's can't win. :sad2: Between the people complaining about the cabins/sites and the people who had no idea about the restaurants/shows and how things worked those CM's have their hands full. I know not everyone does the research we on this board do...but this one woman had the conceirge tied up for 20 minutes trying to make dinner reservations and asking questions that she easily could have found out by reading her paperwork. The people in line behind her were NOT happy.

I think I would like working the snack booth at the movie/campfire. You get to be a part of that every night, watch the movie and be around all those happy kids.

I would like to be a lifeguard at one of the pools, (I've been certified by Red Cross or BSA for over 20 years now.) or one of the marina guards that drives the boats around Bay Lake.

If not that, then work in maintenance on the sites, maybe even the person that drives the cart around the loops all day and emptys the trash.

Bell services at the Fort would probably be OK too.

 Official Mickey Waffle taster. With all the recent cases of tainted food, I will gladly step up to the plate,(plate--- get it) and put myself at risk for the good of my fellow Disers:thumbsup2

I think I would like to be the cm who takes care of problems like campsite too small or a guest needing some assistance. I have never been in that line of work but feel I could make people happy. I've worked for myself 13 years in the environmental business and had to put out a few fires here and there so I think I could handle somebody with an issue there.

Your bravery and sacrafice for fellow Diser's goes above and beyond!:wizard:

Looking back I think my dream job would have been Dave and Sam’s job for you old timers they where the entertainer that sang songs at TE every night.

I had to ask Chad about this one, and he said he wants to be the CM that gets to play dodgeball and football with the kids !! :cool1:

That's because he's still on vacation mode!:cool1: Going through any withdrawl..being fresh home from FW? I enjoyed reading your posts while you were there..giving us a play by play of FW:thumbsup2 .hope the trip home wasn't too grueling.
