Having friends over tonight for a fondue night. I have Pinot Grigot and it is in the fridge....now Im worrying....should it be?

I have no clue about wine:( HELP!!

Chilled, but out of fridge for a time to bring temp up a bit.

Serving Temperatures
As a rule, white and sparkling wines are best served well-chilled (40 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit), with sparkling wines and lighter whites at the lower range of the scale and fuller-bodied, richer whites, such as Chardonnay, at the upper range. An hour in the refrigerator, a half-hour in the freezer, or fifteen minutes in a ice bucket with water and ice, does the trick. Avoid over-chilling, especially with high-quality whites, because it will blunt the complexity of the wine's aromas and flavors. (Conversely, cheap whites are best-served well-chilled.

Enjoy

with Pinot..you can serve it any way you prefer...chilled...room temperature or even over ice..its that versatile...I prefer room temperature but most others prefer chilled. Many wines aren't as versatile as Pinot so don't fret and just enjoy the evening and the fine company and have a fun time.

I chill all of my wines to some degree. Even reds are supposed to be served cooler than room temperature. We have a wine fridge that has a white setting, a red setting adn the ability to manually set the temp. The white setting is 48 to 50 degree and the red setting is 56 to 58 degrees.

My best advice would be to serve it how you like to drink it.

If it's a cheese fondue, apparently your wine shouldn't be TOO cold, nearer room temperature is better or your guests may suffer indigestion!

I usually chill whites and drink reds at room temp. I'm sipping on a lovely little chardonnay even as I type! Mmmmmmm.......

Same with a Merlot I assume?

I've always seen Merlot served room temperature, or maybe a tiny bit chilled if the temperature in your room is on the warm side. Red wines are generally served at room temperature, but never let them get hot! Not pretty!

Rule of thumb is whites chilled to 45 deg. and reds to 55. At least that's what my wine chiller cabinet instructions say.
