We’ll toast the New Year with Kir Royales.

My nephew lived in the south of France for 10 years, and his parents started serving kir royales every Thanksgiving. I have some crème de cassis in my refrigerator, good idea.

Martini & Rossi Asti Spumante is usually our NYE drink of choice. We celebrate with the neighbors—everyone can walk home. We started when the kids were little. Only a couple kids left that aren’t adults now and probably only the youngest will be here plus the 6 parents. Still a great time with long time neighbors that we raised our kids alongside. I definitely consider them “my village”.
