What will you Celebrate, I'm taking my best friend to DisneyWorld Jan 09 PTR!

When Disney made the announcement of next years celebration, my house was somewhat disappointed, because we didn't really have anything to celebrate, for we can't go to disney for my birthday because it falls during the Christmas retail season, and I would never be able to get time off to go, and DF's birthday normally falls on or around president's day so that is a no go, but after some thought and consideration we decided to add a trip to our 2009 plans.
My DF and I are DVC members at SSR and AKV. We had already planned on a big trip in May 09 to take his parents and little brother as kind of thank you trip for all they do for us, and partly cause we want them to join DVC as well. We decided to add a second trip about a month ago when I was talking to a friend who got to spend only 4 hours at the MK this summer. I was complelty shocked and apphauled by this and when she told me this summer I told her that I would in fact get her there someday for a real vacation, little did she know that it would be this soon!

The Cast of Characters for our PTR:

Minnie- Yea you guessed it, thats me! I will be telling this fun story through my character Minnie!

Mickey- My DF. he loves disney as much as I do, took a little arm twisting to get him to agree to take friends again, we had a horrible expiernce last summer.

Daisy- MY BF. She has only been to the MK once and for only 4 hours! A crime in its on right!

Donald- MY DF's BF. Currently Dating Daisy! Has been to WDW a couple times, but not as an adult. Boy is he in for a shock of how fun it can be as an adult!

Now I plan my trips a little different than others. i don't plan my parks around my dining plans, we like to wing it when we are at WDW. this trip may be a little bit different due to the fact we have people with us and we want them to do what they want to do. there is nothing on this trip that is soo important to us. Our motto for this trip is whatever Daisy and Donald want to do .

Once we decided we were going, I immeditaly got on the phone with Disney Dining and this is what we came up with :

Jan 11 LeCellier at 8:25p.m.
Jan 12 Chef Mickeys 10:15a.m.
Jan 13 Mama Melrose 2:15 (hoping for fantasmic package)
Jan 14 Turf Club

I was so excited that I could get both LeCellier and Chef Mickey's for this trip for Daisy. I am contemplating swaping out Mama Melrose for Crystal Palace breakfast cause Daisy loves loves loves EEyore! We shall see, when i made reservations it was so simple, everything was open so I am hoping it is a sign that it will be slow when we are there! If anyone has been there during this time of year, please please let me know your expierences.


the only thing we are all bummed about for this trip is that Mickey's favorite, Splash Mt will be down for rehab. We will keep our fingers crossed that it doesn't stay down the whole time, but there is so much to do we are not to worried about it.


Our plans for the parks are as follows, we want to spend full days at epcot, MK and will split a day with DHS and AK. We will also take full advantage of EMH hours, espically the late ones, but my question to the people who have been to WDW in Jan will it be too cold for BB OR TL?

So the creative person in me wants to do something special for Daisy who has never been there before! I have been thinking about making her a gift basket for christmas of everything she will need while at disney. I am just afraid I might go a little overboard. You see my work has been getting a lot of cute disney stuff as of late and every time I see something I put it a side for myself or make a note to pick it up closer to christmas. do you all think i am goin over board? Some of the things I want to put in there are

Well yesterday when I was at work I picked up the cutest photo album for Daisy. Its got Mickey on the front and its the first things I have purchased for Daisy's basket. For those who are probably wondering why I am not making a basket for Donald, well its because he has been there before and don't get me wrong, I will get him a personalized polo but Daisy totally deserves this trip. she has had a pretty rotten time as of late and i think she deserves to be pampered for once and taken care of since she takes care of everyone in her family!
