There's a lot of different things to celebrate in December, so what will you be celebrating?
Here are some of the more popular observances I know of (feel free to add more!):
December 1st: World AIDS Day
December 7th: National Pearl Harbor Rememberance Day (U.S.)
December 9th: Eid al-Adha (Islam)
December 10th: Human Rights Day
December 18th: National Regifting Day
December 22nd: Yule (Germanic Pagan/Wicca), Chanukah (Jewish).
December 25th: Christmas (Christian/secular)
December 26th: Boxing Day (Canada & UK), Kwanzaa (U.S.)
December 29th: New Years Day (Islam)
December 31st: New Years Eve
In our house we celebrate the modern Yule/Christmas combo (Yule tree and lights, presents etc) as well as New Years Eve. We also like to celebrate some of the aspects of Kwanzaa (a great family holiday if you don't know about it, no matter your ethnic background).
