What will WDW "cut" next?

I hated when they discontinued have the characters out during EMH at Magic Kingdom :furious:

i also bet that free dining next year will be very limited.

as the discounts too.

Those things should be eliminated...and that not a cut

Discounts are just that...discounts...not mandatory privileges.

Many gripes are valid...this one wouldn't be

There are paper straws at DAK but no lids.
Ahh the food ole days. They used to have no straws and served Coke in flimsier cups that relied on the (those lids not provided) for rigidity when you held it. I always loved dousing my shirt in Coke when ever I got thirsty.

Next thing you know hey will stop serving crumbly whole wear hamburger buns.

Frightfully disturbing - but honest.

The thing that bothers me most is the EMH being reduced, that is one of the reasons that we stay on site! To have that extra hour in the morning ia a great advantage. Hope they restore EMH to what they used to be.

I thought it was only the 3rd hour of the nighttime EMH that was being cut?

Like many other posters I haven't heard of a cut that has any impact on me. They have cut one hour off of nighttime EMH. The hour where there was hardly anyone taking advantage of EMH. What other cuts are we talking about, besides the ink on napkins?

POP is already more than the Allstars.

And I don't recall salads ever being included with entrees at most WDW restaurants.

Someone mentioned straws...I think you will end up seeing a lot more of the paper straws used at Animal Kingdom, they already have them at the Wave, which we were told was because they're trying to be greener.

Agreeing with the previous poster, it's evening EMH that is being cut an hour, not morning.

If they continue to fill the resorts without offering free dining, then yes, they're going to offer fewer free dining promotions. If they need it to fill rooms, they will offer free dining.

Here are just a few things. Keep in mind, IMHO these are all small things by themselves. But pile them on top of each other combined with annual price increases and some people (me) consider it to be a (albeit slight) diminished service that I'm getting for the money I pay.

  • appetizers with DP (regular)
  • Fantasmic cut backs
  • Animal Kingdom PM EMH
  • Lights of Winter
  • Decrease in Monorail Service
  • decreased park hours
  • Plain Napkins (I'm kidding! :lmao:)
  • Tips in DP

They added the refillable mug to the dining plan. Which I use every day. Having an app with every table service meal was way too much food. For my family, apps were a huge waste of food.

Fantasmic seems to be back to every night, from what I can see listed.

I'll give you Lights of Winter and AK PM EMH. However, I though that was more an animal related cut than anything else.:confused3

Are the monorails not running all the time now? I thought the only down time was due to construction, and not wanting to pancake the monorail with a beam. Not a true cutback.

Decreased park hours?? Compared to when? Park hours still seem to be very fluid, and additions to the hours of operation are the norm.

And for every cut Disney has added. New rides, a whole new Fantasyland, new resorts. They have refurbished all the value resorts (and added fridges to them!), and built a new one. Done work on every single moderate resort(all but one now have queen beds). Are building DVC in the Grand Floridian.

Yeah, it is cut cut cut all the time!!:rotfl2:

:

Check this August compared to last

Discounts will be a little less attractive - an example being this year reducing the snack credits to one per day. Discounts will not be eliminated as long as the economy is still in the tank. Disney will probably make a few subtle changes.

Posted hours may be different, but Disney is know to add to them at the last minute.

Well, that's what we're hoping for but I'm not going to hold my breath -typically they would have been updated by now. It would be a nice surprise though.
