I just read this in the DIS News letter...
We have heard that the much loved Contemporary Resort will be undergoing a major renovation. Supposedly, Mr. E (the BIG cheese) was impressed by a presentation that had renovations being completed over a three year period, but being the BIG cheese, decided that this could be completed in a one year time frame. This is what we understand will be happening:
the entire hotel will get a new look with white, blonde wood and glass being major components. This includes public areas, rooms and convention space.
The game room and snack bar will be moved to the fourth floor Concourse level.
The Concourse Steak House will be moved to the vacated game room / snack bar location. (Will it remain The Concourse Steak House?) This idea is to supposedly, make this restaurant a more upscale kind of place
The thrust of the hotel will be more business oriented
Could the cause of all of this be that the Contemporary Resort doesnt look so contemporary? This is what we hear kids .
I wonder if this will change where or if they will still have Pin Trading nights?
