What will come first: Star Wars Land or Toy Story?

We've been thinking outloud the last few days about a possible bounce back when we come in September for the following November (even though it likely wont be with a discount since it'll be Jersey Week). But Toy Story Land holds little interest for us as DD is already past the Toy Story phase -- Star Wars on the other hand, we're all on board with that.

TSL

I think it has been said so much and really, it's just a couple kiddie rides, nothing special and no complicated imagineering.

I'm feeling the same about Pandora too - even with the hype. Just 2 rides?! Although it pretty closely follows the model Universal did with the Harry Potter lands - 1 big ride per land with lotsa theming.

It's interesting because the rides are more elaborate and detailed then stuff I can get around me, Kings Island, but Kings Island has more ride density than DWs or Universals.

Toy Story is projected for May 2018

Star Wars is projected for late summer 2019.

I have all of this info and more on rumors and news.

But what took so long on Pandora was the imagineering and land work. TSL is not trying to hide the two rides in imagineering and should be replicating some existing TS icon decor. Not really anything complicated.

The difference with WDW/UO and Kings Island or my Six Flags is Theme Parks vs Amusement Parks. Amusement parks are ride focused and puzzle them in. My Six Flags on top of all other rides has I think 9 major coasters.

I'd argue the Harry Potter areas were just as complicated but they didn't take as long to build either. Also I find the ride experiences to be more unique.
(Not that I'm dissing the rides in Pandora - I'm sure they'll be great but we're already comparing them on the boards here to IASW and Soarin'!)

Thank you all - thinking we may do an trip to Atlantis in 2018 instead! TSL just doesn't excite us!

I only meant Pandora compared to TSL in construction.

Yep, this.

The 2 new attractions for Star Wars should be at least somewhat new and innovative. The Toy Story land rides won't be anything special.

So far as I know, 2 things really slow down Disney construction. Innovative new rides and rock work. I don't think Toy Story land will have either.

Wish the theyd do more for toy story land than just the two rides. What about woody's roundup the that shanghais getting? I FIGUREd no to rc racer and the green army men drop because God forbid anything takes away from star wars land

Only 2 rides for Pandora but that's 2 e-Ticket rides that Animal Kingdom seriously needs
