What were your favorite restaurants/meals that are now closed/discontinued?

I only ate there once, but I just loved the Pooh and friends character breakfast at Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge. It had such a laid back atmosphere, and I had such a delicious meal there. I really miss that character breakfast!

My favorite was Bonfamille's at POFQ. The place was just so pretty inside and the food was terrific. We stay at POFQ a lot ( and will be in a week and a half). We like Boatwright's enough for the walk, but hubby and I miss Bonfamilles!

Not that it was the tops in food but we really enjoyed the old character luau for families at the Poly. It was a dinner show early around 5:00. You could have your family photo taken before hand. The food was ok, the show was neat. It had some theme of Mickey and Minnie falling in love in the south seas, there was also Pluto, Goofy, C&D and of course Donald. Plus you got the hula dancers and flame twirlers/eater. It was very nice for children.

I love these kind of threads...they always bring back great memories. We miss lunch at Narcoossee's, breakfast at Top of the World, Papeete Bay Verandah, and Tangaroa Terrace. We used to enjoy lunch and dinner at the Fisherman's Deck and the Steerman's Quarters on the Empress Lily. We also liked the pizza at Tangaroa Snack Isle...the only "regular" pizza at WDW that we've ever liked.

We really miss the Pink Leilanis from the Coral Isle Cafe .

Resturante Carnivalle SP??? at the Dolphin, Great Italian and the best ceasar salad! It was beautiful with pieces of colored confetti all over the floor that our little ones loved to play with. It was where Juan and Only's used to be. What's there now???

I remember the Pocohontas breakfast at WL . They seemed to fit in so well at the WL when they walked across the lobby to AP.

While it was never at WDW, we've always wished the Blue Bayou from DL was there. It is our favorite restaurant in DL and WDW.

I'm probably one of the few, but I really liked Flagler's at the GF before they renovated the space and made it Citrico's. I also miss the buffet breakfast at Tangaroa Terrace at the Polynesian. Barbecue and cornbread at Fireworks Factory at Pleasure Island. Ah--the memories!

I realize I'm probably in the minority here, but I really enjoyed having my cheese soup in lush surroundings without a PS or the cost of a full-service restaurant.

Yes, I've enjoyed the steaks at Le Cellier since they changed, but I can get a good steak many places in WDW. What I miss is the no-fuss, fast food alternative that Le Cellier used to provide. Guess that's why I also like Columbia Harbour House so much!

I liked the cafeteria style place that the Crystal Palace used to be....cant remember if it was called the Crystal Palace back then though!

Two years in a row we had our CP package at Rose and Crown. We LOVED this delicious chocolate cake (somewhere in the recipe, I believe it was the frosting was Guiness Beer). It was SOOOOOOOO delicious. Last year, we had our CP package there and had to order the white mousse and rasberry "thing". It was good, just not as good!

I also loved the Pocahontas breakfast at WL, that Meeko was quite a character! Tony's breakfast (especially the breakfast calzone) was very good. The one menu item I really miss is the Beef Stew in a Bread Bowl that they served at Tusker House. It was terrific every time I ordered it. The pizza/pasta place by the fountain in Epcot was a favorite, too.

My poor heart aches when I see this theme, but here goes:
Papetee Bay Verandah at the Poly. Had a 3 piece combo and hula dancer quietly entertaining. Fisrt meal I ever had at WDW in 1975--

Top of the World Supper Club--even before Broadway at the Top. Had "big name" entertainment--we saw Billy Eckstein.

I, too, miss Fireworks Factory and Top of the World. Only got to eat at both of those places once. I guess, though, that if they kept everything, I would never try anything new.

Just remembered, I miss the Afternoon Tea being at Rose & Crown. I know they have it at GF now, but it was SO much better at the pub.

Au Petit Cafe in France at EPCOT. There was just something about dining outside in the summer, the fans whirring above, other guests strolling the promenade, a glass of good French wine, and some lighter French fare for lunch! We also miss the Tangaroa Terrace at Polynesian--used to have a really nice Polynesian-style dinner buffet at certain times of the week--it was actually quite good.

Oh yeah, we also miss the corn on the cob at HDD--peppers and regular corn just isn't the same. And while I'm at it, what the heck happened to the salsa & chips that came out before the main course & sides were served!?

Juan and Only's is still there, it's just deserted. It's the best kept secret in the Dolphin for a very quiet place to relax. I read a book down there one morning while my daughter was still sleeping.
