What we accomplished this weekend!!!

My dh and I put up a 615 brick retaining wall this weekend!!!! I am so proud of our work--just had to share my excitement!!

oh i don't know--i think i am going to be pretty sore tom. We still have a patio to build but i think we will take a week off and start next week I am not liking all the hard work but it will pay off as soon as we get to sit and enjoy!!

a retaining wall is when you have an overabundance of dirt and you don't want the dirt to wash away so you stack cement blocks in a nice pattern so the dirt don't wash away. We put this in our back yard to replaced our old crumbling wall so the dirt wouldn't wash away from our house.

Oh, OK. Where I live it's just about level all around so there's no danger of that. Everything just kind of pools in one big mess.
