I didn't know best where to post this so forgive me if I'm wrong for posting it here. I'm not sure if we will try to fit in a waterpark also or not when we go in April. If so, which one would you recommend. We have never been to Orlando so no worry about repeating. Thanks in advance!

I would say Aquatica since it's new and looks very cool. The Disney parks aren't bad but this one is supposed to be much better.

OK...I just wondered if Aquatica would be more crowded since it is new. Still not sure whether to add a waterpark or not. Decisions, decisions.:confused3

I was at Aquatica a few days ago and the crowds were light. Then again, it was pretty cool.

Aquatica is very spacious and colorful, but it has fewer slides than nearby Wet n Wild and fewer speed slides, if that's your thing.

The much-touted dolphins are fun but not as much of a razzle-dazzle as I think a lot of people thought they'd be.

I'll be going again, now that it's warming up.

Did you happen to notice how much the Cabanas were costing please? Also, is there much shaded area if you can't afford a Cabana? I've heard there's not much around. :headache:
Thanks

Thanks Kelly for the information. I'm still trying to decide whether to even try to work in a day at a waterpark. I hate vacations that are so rushed that it doesn't feel like a vacation.

On a side note I ordered your book and it arrived yesterday. I've already read 2 chapters. Wonderful information. Thanks!

I found Aquatica to be a big disappointment.
I would choose Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon over Aquatica any day.

The foliage is very limited. I realize that will change as the trees and bushes grow over the years, but at the moment it is very barren.

Locker rental - a $3 deposit is required on top of your rental, but unlike Disney, when you return the key, you don't get cash back, they give you a $3coupon you can use towards another purchase. Lame.

The Dolphin Plunge is one of their big selling points and while the slide itself is fine as waterslides go, the clear section that goes through the dolphin pool is quite short, you are going pretty fast and there is no guarantee the dolphins won't be at the other end of the pool as you go by.

Roa's Rapids is fun but there is no long lazy river to relax on.

Big Surf Shores and Cutback Cove are really small pools.

No big drop slide (like Summit Plummit) or water roller coaster.

I think TL & BB are far superior water parks and I wouldn't go back or suggest Aqutica to friends or family looking to visit Orlando.

We are going to Florida November 15-22. My kids will be 2, 5, 7. Which waterpark has the best kids area? They love the water and can swim pretty good!

Thanks, in advance, for any advice you can give me!

Cabanas are currently $150 a day! That'll rise to $175 come Memorial Day (thru Labor Day).

Yes, you can find shade elsewhere, but if that's a must-have for you, I'd advise arriving early!
