What was your "something blue?"

I carried a handkerchief that DH's grandmother had given his mother who gave it to me. I also pained my toenails blue. It was an island wedding and we were barefoot!

I had an itsy teensy blue silk flower bit hot glued onto my garter. (About the size of my pinkie nail.)

Something old was an Edwardian hankie from my g-grandmother thru' my grandmother (GM had passed 20 years before my marriage, which was itself 20+ years ago and GGM had passed, oh,, 40 years or so before my marriage).

Something borrowed was. . .hmmm. I don't remember.

I had a penny in my shoe, yes I did.

Oh! The penny was borrowed. My mom gave it to me because I didn't have anything else borrowed.

I made my own blue garter "for keeps." I hated the light blue and white ones available for purchase, although I did buy a $2 one to "throw away." The one I made to keep was a deep sapphire blue satin, with an ivory double-bow ribbon, an ivory seed pearl single bow, and an ivory ribbon rose attached.

I had blue underwear til my mom realized you could REALLY see them through my dress. Oops! She ended up running out morning of the wedding and buying me white underwear and the lovely baby blue garter so popular in the 90's!

My mom's wedding a few years prior, she forgot the whole thing. I was wearing a blue dress, so I pulled a bit of a thread out and laid it in her bouquet.

Awwwwww, that's ADORABLE! Too bad she's not a huge Disney fan like we all are. (I know, the horror!).

I found a light blue, Swarovski crystal heart charm that I thought she could maybe clip to her garter. Cute? Corny?

That's cute but make sure she doesn't use that garter for tossing.

My BFF had blue toenails, her engagement ring also had a blue sapphire in it.

I had blue violets in my bouquet. That and my eyes are blue... I truthfully forgot until the morning of our wedding about the something blue and my maid of honor went and bought some violets for my bouquet.
