Ill probably be flamed for saying this, but I was disappointed with Victoria and Alberts. When I went to V&As it was in high school, and my older sister and her fiance took me with them there, and all three of us were left with one thing to say about it. WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!
Now please keep in mind that I do not go to restaurants very often b/c I simply do not like to eat out, so that probably accounts for my biasedness here. But I find the majority of restaurant made food to be extremely unhealthy and I prefer plain food. That being said I would have been more impressed with bread and water than V&A's food. Honestly I think they try too hard. They attempt to make very complicated recipes and while a lot of people like a variety of flavors in their food, I do not. So first off, they tried too hard. Secondly, the "beautiful" interior of the restaurant reminded me of some of the low-scale restaurants just outside of Amish country. Lastly it was way overpriced and not enough food. They were very concerned with presentation, but not food quality or amount I think. And keep in mind here that I'm a rather thin person so it doesn't take much to fill me up, but if the meal is going to be around $90 I better leave fuller than I am after Thanksgiving dinner!
So my overall impression, as was my sister's fiance, was that to pay that amount of money for something that just barely fills you up is pure insanity. Sure they give you a variety but if you are a picky eater chances are you won't enjoy this place. I sure didn't at least.
