Have you been disappointed by a restaurant or attraction/show that you looked forward to?

The only real disappointment for me is that, the last two times I've been, the Carousel of Progress has been closed. I LOVE the COP!! It's been one of my favorites since I was a kid. And I have such good memories of my mom and I walking out of there singing, "This is the time! This is the time! This is the best time of your life!" :goodvibes Or something to that effect.

I like the part with the uncle (or whoever it was) reading the newspaper in the bathtub.

Why is it seasonal??? I hope it's open in May when I go down. Third time's a charm, right? :cheer2:

Ill probably be flamed for saying this, but I was disappointed with Victoria and Alberts. When I went to V&As it was in high school, and my older sister and her fiance took me with them there, and all three of us were left with one thing to say about it. WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!

Now please keep in mind that I do not go to restaurants very often b/c I simply do not like to eat out, so that probably accounts for my biasedness here. But I find the majority of restaurant made food to be extremely unhealthy and I prefer plain food. That being said I would have been more impressed with bread and water than V&A's food. Honestly I think they try too hard. They attempt to make very complicated recipes and while a lot of people like a variety of flavors in their food, I do not. So first off, they tried too hard. Secondly, the "beautiful" interior of the restaurant reminded me of some of the low-scale restaurants just outside of Amish country. Lastly it was way overpriced and not enough food. They were very concerned with presentation, but not food quality or amount I think. And keep in mind here that I'm a rather thin person so it doesn't take much to fill me up, but if the meal is going to be around $90 I better leave fuller than I am after Thanksgiving dinner!

So my overall impression, as was my sister's fiance, was that to pay that amount of money for something that just barely fills you up is pure insanity. Sure they give you a variety but if you are a picky eater chances are you won't enjoy this place. I sure didn't at least.

I'm pretty much disappointed with Animal Kingdom as a whole. I keep returning thinking I'm missing something, but I usually leave saying that I'm not rushing back. The all time worst is the Kali River Rapid ride. They shouldn't have bothered. The walk through the empty queue was longer than the ride...

I wasn't necessarily looking forward to it, but Stitch's Great Escape was really dissapointing!

I was really sad when BTMR was closed for rehab last time I was there...and I was sad when they close Horizons at Epcot...I loved that attraction.
I'm also not totally thrilled with AK as a whole...I like a few things here and there, but I usually stick to a half day there and plan to do the same when I'm there in 36 days!!! :cheer2: :bounce: :cloud9:

Ok, so I love, I mean LOVE Cinderella's castle!!! And when they were doing construction on it that one year (cant remember when) and there was this BIG HUGE LOOOOOOOONG crane dangling over it and near it, and above it, and ON it EVERY DAY I LOOKED AT IT. For a whole week. :(

I know construction has to take place, but dad gum........do it at night time. Ever heard of SPOT LIGHTS??? nowadays they have ones with like a GOZILLION MEGA WATTS! heeheehee! :confused3

Anyway, that was a disappointment for me. :guilty:

I am disappointed that they closed Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. I liked that attraction, and would love to be able to share it with my grandsons. I'm not even sure why it was closed. :confused3

The 50's Prime Time Cafe was a HUGE disapointment.

We had really been looking forward to eating here. I'd tried it once before and recalled not liking the food and not thinking the waiter I had then was very "fun" but was willing to give it another shot.

Never again.

We had over and hour wait despite having a PS. When we finally did get seated, it took forever for us to get our order taken. Our waitress came by , maybe twice and did not act in character at all. She just acted like a regular waitress at a normal restaurant.

The food finally came and it was cold. By that point we wanted refills on our soda but we never got them until we flagged down another waiter who acted incredibly annoyed to be bothered. Sorry, but our waitress disappeared!

It was thus far the only bad dining experience I have ever had on site. I'm really not one to complain about dining at WDW. But this was sooo bad (twice, mind you, years apart!) that I will never , ever eat there again.

I was disappointed in Trails End Buffet. Everyone was saying how good it was and I was so disappointed in it. It cost us a fortune and wasn't worth any of it.

:sad2: :sad2:

Fort Wilderness trail ride. Bor-ing!

45 minutes through scruffy Florida weeds in the heat, and when I got off my butt hurt for DAYS. :sad2:

My worst moment was when we went to MNSSHP 2 or 3 years ago and Space Mountain and BTMRR were both closed leaving the already limited rides with long lines.

WCC was extremely disappointing. It took a long time to be seated (although we enjoyed relaxing in WL lobby). We were seated to the right in the corner. It was very cramped. Our waitress was lackluster, totally indifferent and oblivious to the shenanigans going on in the restaurant. We even had dropped forks (on accident) -- we asked for replacements for those forks, napkins and ketchup... nada.... when they did the ride around the restaurant dd wanted to go but they didn't give her a horse. They had enough to go around though. She came back to the table deflated. I encouraged her to do it on the second go-round... she got a horse that time but she didn't get the "prize." I decided to "kidnap" the horse until she got her prize and was trying to coax our waitress into getting "fun" about it, telling her they wouldn't get the horse back without giving dd the prize. Her attitude was like, "uh, okay, whatever." She did eventually return with a certificate for dd -- who said, "Gee, this is it? A piece of paper?" Not that they should give anything extravagant but... come on. Plus, the food was not very good.

I was also disappointed by Spectromagic. And... not that I'm disappointed in them per se, but I much prefer DL's POTC and Space Mtn. to WDW's.

Greg---IM FEELING YOUR PAIN AS WELL! :)

OH YEA!!!!!!!! I did that trail ride too.......I didnt like it. First of all, I had A HORSE FROM HELL!!!! The horse had an attitude from the get-go! We were in line and I saw this white horse just having a dern fit at the trough. Well, I kept watching and she was slinging her head and bucking and all kinds of stuff. I thought, what a pain in the *** horse! LOW AND BEHOLD WOULDNT YOU KNOW I GOT THAT HORSE!

The ride was plain, had to go single file, look at trees, the booty of the horse in front of me and thats about it. Heck, I can do that here in ALABAMA! Never again will i do that. Especially with a BAD ATTITUDE HORSE! :rotfl2:

I'm still new to Disney compared to the rest of you! My biggest disappointment was going to MK for Spectromagic on a Sat. night during "off" season. Too many people to even walk to the exit to leave! They were only doing it twice that week. Next time I will go to the Parade on a week night. I give you all credit going during peak time, I would never have the patience!

I would have to say that my biggest disappointment was when the Magic Kingdom Club/Disney Club was discontinued. If you booked your ressie at least 6 months in advance, you could be assured of obtaining a discount. You did not have all of this madness of waiting for codes, calling CRO at the crack of dawn, and holding on the phone for 1 to 2 hours in the hope of getting a discount.
