What was your magical experience?

we LOVE Disney, it's the vacation place where the whole family gets to play together, and have fun together, all ages, all the time! it's all magical for us (even when it's sometimes not) and our family memories there for the past 17 years are more than enough magic for me!
Even when magical things happen like free trader pins, fun cm's,waitstaff that make our day, perfect weather(or not) free fastpasses....it just reassures us that it truly is all magic all the time!

Two jump out immediately:

2007 - our one and only (so far ;)) mother-and-son-only (usually we go with my mom & brother) trip to the World. DS was 11. We were in Italy in EPCOT just kind of poking along when we see Sergio the clown/juggler start setting up shop. He was doing some sort of schtick where he'd have a bunch of audience members toss a ball to him and he's catch it in his net. My son was kind of oo-oo-ooing with his hand raised to throw a ball to him when Sergio whistles him up front and center. DS got to be the assistant for almost the whole show! For the rest of the day, people would stop my son to say what a fine job he did! :cutie: :lovestruc

2010 - mom and I got up early enough one day to catch the MK opening ceremony. We started heading toward the Haunted Mansion and passed close to the Hall of Presidents. There were CMs standing in front so we asked when the first show started. "Whenever you want it to" was the answer. :) Mom and I sat smack in the middle of the first full row and had our very own private viewing of Hall of Presidents. This was the first time we had seen it since 2006 as we missed it in 2008 because of the major refurb. Very nice show and fantastic updates!

2007-we were picked to open MK :lovestruc I will never forget that!! It was our first time to Disney...I thought it was EMH....it wasn't. Thinking we were having to wait hours until opening and then being asked to open the park!! Oh-it was amazing!!
That same trip...on riders swap my two older kids and I were the only ones on Soarin...front row middle~awesome!
Then while leaving frontier land one evening a castmate handed my son a bag of cotton candy!:woohoo: It was the most magical trip ever!! (also weather December in the low 80's!!)

2008-RnR front row!! :cool1: (Dec weather 70-80's no rain!!)

2010-We arrived at ME and a bus was waiting for us! No wait...and finding out the Poly is the first stop! :cool1:
Youngest son was able to walk pooh to his greeting area. :thumbsup2
A 'rupunzel' bus taking us to Animal Kingdom for our early bkfst.
Riding TSM 4x in two days. :cool2:
(Dec weather was not magical (2 out of 3 isn't bad!!) teens, with windchill to mid 60's and rain 1 day)

When I was 12 it was my first trip to WDW. Our family scraped every penny together just to go. I had some spending money that I saved myself and I knew what I wanted. I wanted a pin! I was so proud of my Mr Potato Head Pin that whole week. Twards the end of our trip, after a long day, we were on the buss back to FW when this lady sitting with her husband across from me said "I heard you have a Mr Potato head pin. Will you trade?" After some debate and heckeling, I traded that pin for a Tigger. After that we struck up a conversation untill their stop. When they went to leave, the husband stopped at me and said "she'll get more, theese are yours" and dropped a lanyard with 8 pins including the Mr. Potato Head in my lap and dissapearded into the darkness. My family got off at the next stop and went back to find them, but they were gone.

You know what? I think this is the best first post I've seen on the Board! Keep posting. And Welcome on the Board! :goodvibes

On our first day of our first trip (February) we were waiting in line before AK opened. A safari guy started chatting us up and asked us if we'd like to go on a private safari ride. Um.... YEAH WE DO! lol - we got into the park early and as we walked to the ride he was talking about the park. I honestly can't remember what the ride is called but it's the one where you look for the baby elephant. It was great, and my kids loved it. We definitely wouldn't have done it otherwise.

My girls felt so special. The CM had told them they looked so cute and excited to be there, so he picked them.

OP - My niece had a similar experience at the American Adventure two weeks ago. She had on a Birthday Button and the CM told her that there had been a call for her...and he directed her to a phone and gave her an extension to dial. Goofy wished her a Happy Birthday! The CM told her Goofy had asked him to give her a copy of the US Constitution. She was THRILLED!

My most fond experience came in the year 1996. my two daughters were only seven and five years old, the perfect age. The weather was great all week and the kids had the times of their lives. this Christmas we just transfered the tape video to digital and spent all day Christmas reliving ecery moment.
The swiming in the old key west pool, thunder mountain(now they complied with the height req.) and the great food at all the EPCOT restaurants.

Our first day was at MK and we had just walked into the park and were right in front of the castle, there were the Dapper Dans. I told them DH sings Barbershop-style and he'd love to meet them. I got the feeling that they didn't believe me and one of them asked DH what he sang. When DH said bass, the guy asked if he knew such-and-such song and DH said yeah. They sang the song together and then the Dapper Dans asked DH (and us) to ride the trolley around MK with them, they gave DH a hat and they sang a few songs together. DH was in heaven!
However, the kids were not thrilled because were just in front of the castle and then we ride back to the front of the park, away from the castle, and they thought we were leaving already! 15 minutes in MK and it's time to go...:sad2:

There are lots of great memories, but here's one of my favorites...

We went to Askerhaus for breakfast. My dtr was 3 and son was 8. Princess Aurora was signing autographs and needed a pen, so she asked my son if she could borrow his. He obliged, and she thanked him. A little bit later when Princess Aurora came to visit with us, she took a few "normal" pictures and then asked me to snap it on her count of three. On three she planted a big lipstick kiss on his cheek. It was so cute to see his reaction - blushing and a huge giggle - the belly laugh was priceless.

That has to be my alltime favorite. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We were in the MK Christmas night watching fireworks from tommorowland when a cast member handed me a strawberry sundae. She said Mickey wanted to wish my family a Merry Christmas! It was truly magical!!!
