$530 when the doctors office messed up with my insurance and told me my whole share would be $75

Today. $30 to have a nail removed from a tire and the tire patched.
you got away cheap compared to what I've paid to keep my ac running. This summer is putting every AC in the south and west to the test.about $500 to fix the AC
@Ensusieasm My home nurse visits and in-home PT were through Northern Light Home Health and Hospice. They have 6 (?) locations around the state, based on county. I know there are listings on the NL webpage for Aroostook, Penobscot, York/Cumberland, Hancock, etc. My services are thru Penobscot (Bangor/Brewer) but was billed from Portland. Cigna (my insurance as an employee at UMaine) says only the Aroostook location is in-network. My home health manager says it should all be covered, so I'll have to follow up with the people in Portland and my insurance. Just what I don't need to have to deal with on top of everything else right now!Ouch! Thanks for the heads up! Fellow Mainer here, and thatās my local hospital.
Thatās for sure. Good luck, and I hope you feel better real soon!@Ensusieasm My home nurse visits and in-home PT were through Northern Light Home Health and Hospice. LOL. I've kept cars as long as 31 years, so for me it's picking up a nail right after I buy new tires. This happened to us about two weeks ago. Seems like every time we get a new car, within months we get a nail or screw in one of the tires.![]()
Can I ask what insurance you use? We have a 10-month-old puppy and the 3 month old puppy that had the surgery (to the tune of $4,800 including emergency vet and surgery). We have always had cats which are pretty low maintenance in my lifetime experience. The cost of this emergency visit and surgery really through us for a loop! She is doing great, btw! One week after surgery and she is ready to rumble....lol. It's going to be hard to keep her calm for another month!Poor pup! Get the insurance....took me a long time to come around to it, but after huge, huge bills for my Airedale last summer (2 MRIs to the tune of 10K....plus lots more for bloodwork, hospitalization...etc), we purchased pet insurance for our youngest dog, age 5....before there's too much wrong with her. It would have paid for itself 25x over in my older dogs, but they're uninsurable at this point. Specialty/emergency veterinary care costs have skyrocketed in the last few years as private equity firms have purchased many of these facilities....it's just insane.
Thanks so much!! I will look into it.I highly recommend Trupanion. They have saved me thousands of dollars and their payout is within two or three days.

My wife got an e-mail from the Medical Group her Doctor is part of saying she had a $90 Past Due balance. First notice of any kind we received. Paid it. Two days later a paper bill came in the mail, with a due date 3 weeks down the road., My wife called and of course the person who answered the phone couldn't help. Not so much as they didn't care, but they aren't allowed to offer much help. They just confirmed the payment had been received and that the account balance was zero. She could not explain why a Past Due notice went out more than three weeks before the due date.Received a bill from my primary care doctor a few days ago for $50. When I called their billing service about it they said it was my co pays for a Jan & a Feb visit. Told them I don't have a co pay with my insurance so they said I have to call the doctor's office itself. So they say it was $25 copay for my Jan & Feb visit. Hey, don't have a copay.....I do have a $25 copay for a specialist but not for primary care & guess what? The Feb visit was cancelled when I went to the Jan visit so they are charging a copay (that is not required) for a visit that I didn't even go to. Will have to call them back Monday when I am off so I can get to the bottom of this.
It wasnāt that long ago you said you do your best to help the environment. Now youāre saying you have a rv. So having a rv is doing your best to help the environment?A new alternator for the RV. Couldn't believe how expensive that was.
Yes, it is the best I can do at this stage of my life. I said I followed the rules and do the best I can do. Not sure why my having an RV makes a difference. Still the best I can do.It wasnāt that long ago you said you do your best to help the environment. Now youāre saying you have a rv. So having a rv is doing your best to help the environment?
If the rv is your home thatās great. If you have a home and a rv thatās not the best you can do for the environment. I admit I could do better a lot better but Iām not going to say thatās the best I can do when I know itās not.
