Rummage sale seen from space .. first week of December and third week of March

I coordinate the display of boxes and boxes and boxes and boxes of books. A team effort and chance to talk to new folks... our community is full of people who want to be left alone.... so conversation here is like reading the inside leaf cover and considering the book read

Storms... Yuma has very little damage because it is on a platteu and vegetables grow below on flood
Level and dams and concrete canals control any excess rain...so desert storms are beautiful...our last measure of rain was Christmas 2023

Toyota hybrid regional TV commercial... actor says they just got back from Joshua Tree... the gratitude is that I grew up in history 1960s when Joshua Tree was just a pile of rocks labeled as a national monument and nobody visited

Eating in a restaurant, but especially at Disney!

Entennmans Crumb Cake: once a year, on my birthday. Thankfully, they now make the mini ones.

Shellfish. It's just so expensive, especially clams. I was in NOLA this week and I had some sort of shellfish every day, I think!!

Ice cream sodas. I love a chocolate ice cream soda with peppermint ice cream, but they don't sit well on my stomach, so while I love them, I don't have them very often (like once a year).

(To take it away from food...) Spare time... to read, to clean house, to relax. It seems like there is always something that needs my attention.

Three things I get that I don’t eat very often only because I can’t get them here
They would all be seafood I can’t get seafood here it just doesn’t taste very good because I’m in the middle of the United States

Orange things, took me a while!

1. My Epcot food & drink festival lunch bag - I use a lunch bag every day when I'm in the office and was desperate to find a new one on my last visit to WDW. Thought I was out of luck until I found this at one of the random shopping stalls.



2. Fanta - technically in the UK this isn't really orange even though it's meant to be Fanta Orange, but its my go to drink especially if I need a bit of a pick me up!

3. Sunrise/sunset - i love those mornings or evenings when the sky is beautiful and orange and pink.

Syracuse University Basketball- GO ORANGE GO!! (although it's not the same without Boeheim)

Safety vests, traffic cones, barrier barrels. Keeps the workers safe and it means the potholes are getting filled (and all workers protected).

My neon pillowcases. They are yellow, blue, and hot pink daisies with neon green stems on a bright orange background. THey were part of DD's bedroom "decorating" when she was about 12. They remind me of her as a little girl, and are also a throwback to my teens- I would have DIED for this set in the 70s, hahaha. I really like them because DH needs a pillow protector due to allergies, so when we travel he takes the pillow protector and one of these pillowcases. The bright orange reminds him to pack the pillow protector.

Amazing what a simple orange plastic cone can do to have folks act civil

I show up Wednesday morning before sunrise at the church farmers market venue and push three hand trucks full of ORANGE cones that define parking that needs to be reserved for our customers and not the VENDORS who will park their vehicle right at the entrance and make customers walk from the other side of the lot
.......and our winter sunrise is orange if no clouds

I would say orange juice because I do like it I just can’t drink it anymore I am grateful for it I just wish I could drink it still because it’s delicious I miss it so much I mean I could drink it but I would just be in a lot of pain!!

Good Wednesday Morning

#1 - WORKING OUT - This is my #1 stress reliever. A good hard workout is a great way to take out stress.

#2 - WORKING ON JIGSAW PUZZLES - I’m really behind on my puzzles. Once my DD21 leaves to start grad school, I’ll start a new one.

#3 - FLOATING IN MY POOL, - I’m hoping to do some floating tomorrow, not currently for a stress reliever though, just because I love it.
