What was your FIRST ride in Disney? Good Memories lets talk!

Don't forget the Ford Pavilion from the World's Fair. Sort of a precursor to both Test Track and Universe of Energy.

My first ride at MK was, of course, Space Mountain. Spring break 1980.

I don't think I rode that one so I didn't list it.

My grandma surprised me for a christmas present for two weeks at disneyland, when i was 12. (coming from Australia, this was a big deal!). I had remembered watching this show on Disney Channel that described this train ride in Tomorrowland, so when we got to disneyland we lined up for Space mountain.
I had never been on a roller coaster before, and my grandma was definitely more into those slow fantasy land rides.
As we got into the loading area my grandma turned to me and goes " I don't think this is a train" but we had waited so long that we had to go on it.
Needless to say, we were both pleasantly surprised with the ride which made for the most funniest ride photo ever!!! We bought it of course!

When we went back to disney land last year, we made sure our first ride was Space Mountain, and i will make it a tradition from now on in honour of my Grandmother!

Oh I wish I could remember. My first trip was in '76 when I was ten. I remember space mtn vividly and some other rides but not the first one. I remember friends of ours had given us their extra ride tickets from their trip and it was great having them. I can remember one night it was pouring and we left but my parents forgot where they parked the car. We were soaked. Funny the things you can remember.

Mine wasn't that long ago, it was 2007 and tower of terror. My husband was terrified of rides but thought as he'd paid the money for the tickets he'd force himself on. He loved it and the rest is history.

I think it was either the tin lizzies, dumbo or maybe 20,000 leagues under the sea. I was young and the memory is very fuzzy.

My first Disney trip was in 1998 (I was 36). I don't know what park we went to first or what we rode first.

What I DO remember - we went in October, stayed offsite and used the hotel shuttle, which was not ideal. My DH and I left the kids at the hotel kids club and went to La Nouba. We got thoroughly soaked at AK and had dinner ressies at Rainforest Cafe so I had to buy a shirt to wear at dinner because I was wet and freezing. And I started planning our next trip as soon as I got home!

I was 5 when my parents took us in 1972. Although I don't know if it was my first ride, the one I remember the most clearly from the trip was 20,000 leagues under the sea.

Mine was the Haunted Mansion! It was 2010, and I was 13 or 14. Despite being a teenager, I was a little scared- I remember shaking in the queue ;)

My first trip to any Disney park was in 1988 and I was 3. We went to Disneyland. The clearest memory I have of that trip is riding the teacups and of course the electric light parade. I remember my grandmother had me and my cousin (my same age) in matching Alice in Wonderland dresses, and Cinderella's mice in the parade danced with me. :)

First ride ever at WDW was in 2003. The first morning there, we hit Epcot and rode the Test Track. Never never have I seen the line to that ride as short as it was that morning. We even went back and rode it again right after we got off. I think I'll always feel sentimental about the TT because it was my first WDW experience and it blew me away.

My first ride that I remember was Spaceship Earth...I have never seen anything like that before, it was the coolest thing knowing I was inside the Epcot Ball and how you can see the advancements we were going through. I always make it a priority to ride that ride!
I think it's so interesting to see how a lot of us are still very sentimental about our first DW experience, even if it's a ride or attraction that others might not think is a can't miss.

Pirates of the Caribbean! After that we ate at El Pirata y el perico (not realizing it was one of the few times that place was actually open lol) It's still such a fond memory for us, we are sad that this year we won't be able to ride it! Oh well.

It was 1989 and I remember standing in line for Space Mountain. It was soooo long! I also remember playing in the splash area at Epcot with my sister. I still have my Figment and Thumper stuffed animals from that trip :figment:. I also remember my brother telling me that one of the ghosts on the Haunted Mansion ride peed on his head.

I never got the opportunity to go as a child, so my first trip was when I was 18. I was a big dis-nerd already, and my husband (then boyfriend) couldn't believe I'd never been. So he surprised me with a trip. I had no idea what Disney World was. I pictured Six Flags but with Disney characters walking around. Good lord, I was so naive.

First attraction was Country Bear Jamboree. And even though I never experienced it as a child, it made me feel instantly nostalgic. I love kitchsy stuff like that and that was the moment I fell in love.

From there, I went and rode Splash Mountain. So I guess that was technically my first ride. That one really blew me away because I honestly thought that is was just a log flume. So when I started traveling through this whole animatronic world, I REALLY fell in love. Splash is probably my favorite ride and that's probably because it was my first.

My first Disney rides were at the NY Worlds Fair in 1964/1965 too! And I really remember Moments with Mr. Lincoln back then!

My first trip to WDW was as a mother with my DD (8 at the time) and my DS (5). Within the park I can't remember but going across Seven Seas Lagoon on the ferry and seeing the castle for the first time is still crystal clear in my mind :)

Space Mountain! It was my first trip back when I was 10. My whole family loves it, and my mom said we begged to go on it over and over.

Space Mountain, the year of MK's anniversary when the Castle looked like a cake, the week before Easter. We didn't arrive at RD, stood in line for 90 mins, thought that this was the way at WDW all the time. We learned better.

I remember riding the Matterhorn on our trip to Disneyland in the mid sixties. I also remember seeing IASW and a computer TicTacToe game.
