There are always a few posts on here asking about special things Disney might do during your honeymoon, but I was wondering what your favorite moment as a disneymooner was?

Hope I'm not being too nosey.

:earsboy:

I'd like to know, too. My fiancee aren't getting married until July, 2007, but we talk about the WDW honeymoon we'll be taking all the time and I'm interested in hearing what other people have done or have had happened to them while on theirs.

My wife and I honeymooned at Disney and stayed in the GF. We had one of the turret rooms on the concierge level.
The staff made the whole trip very special. From being greeted at the front door and taken straight upstairs, to being greeted in each morning by name. The staff just made us feel very special each day. They were wonderful.
They made some dinner ressies for us and advised them that it was our honeymoon. We always got great service and an excellent table.

As you will see, the wedding festivities fly by in a whirlwind after all the planning and anticipation. Someone else had suggested these things to us, and we were really happy we did both! Made our honeymoon extra special -

1. Take some polaroids at the ceremony and reception! And bring them with you on your trip. Just a few while you are waiting for your "real" pictures. OR If you have a digital camera, just take some pics with that and bring them with you to look at.

2. Give guests at your wedding pre-stamped and addressed postcards, ask them to write a wedding memory and mail it to you the day after the wedding. You will get lots of postcards at your honeymoon hotel!

Pixie dust,

Susy

We had a magical time at Disney World for our wedding/honeymoon...and it was over all too fast!!

We didn't get some of the "major" pixie dust I've heard others have gotten (and that's okay!!!!), but we did have some wonderful shining moments that made it all so special for us.

Of course there was lots of well wishes from lots of people 'cause we were wearing the ears. That was cool!

The day after our wedding, we were going to the MK but we stopped of at the GF before because we wanted to go to the little store there that had all the Disney wedding stuff (it's not there anymore). But, while we were in the gift shop, the CM there asked us about our wedding and asked if we had heard the Wedding "message" that can be left on your phone. We hadn't so he played it for us (it is TOO CUTE), not once, but twice!! :)

After that we headed to the MK and we were in Toon Town, at the "tent" where you can get character pictures. We were getting pressed pennies from the machine there when some guy walked up and at first I thought he was going to cut in line ahead of us, but he asked if we were "celebrating" something special. I answered that, yes, we were married the day before...and he handed me this small origami swan that he apparently had made and told me it was to help us celebrate! (very cool!).

Then we went to see the characters and get our pic taken with them...Goofy was there and in our pic with him, he was pretending to marry us again! That was priceless to us! We'll be talking about that for years (and we have a pic to prove it! LOL!).

Mostly, we were just so happy to be there, and to be together and to have such a magical Disney wedding and honeymoon. Of course, now I can't wait to go back!!!

Our best moment, getting picked to be the Grand Marshalls in the parade at the MK. We had our wedding ears on the morning after our wedding and CM Dean stopped us on Main Street and asked if we'd like to be in the parade. It was awesome!

That sounds so fun!

Thanks for sharing everyone!

Some highlights of our honeymoon included..
1. Spending an evening walking around Crescent lake. We ended up in a hammock on the beach in front of the Beach Club spending hours talking about our memories from our wedding day and dreams for the future.
2. Going to MVMCP. We went the night after our wedding so we were on cloud nine. It was also our first night at WDW and a perfect start to our trip.
3. Being in the Jungle Jammin Parade. We were asked if we wanted to be in the parade by a cast member by the Tusker House. They gave us a camera and took our picture ion the float. We got to wear our bride/groom ears and felt like celebrities.
4. Spending the first few days of our honeymoon relaxing. We did not get park tickets for the first 3 days of our stay. We were able to "hang out" and not feel like we should be in the parks/use our tickets. We needed that time to unwind from the whirlwind week.

We were married at Disney and on our first day "Alone" after all of our guests had left,, we spent the day in the Magic Kingdom. We started the morning with a honeymoon photoshoot with Disney,,which although the pictures are just "ok" the experience was a blast! Then after spending the whole day exploring as I hadn't been there since I was like 12 and my new huddy had never been there,,we had dinner at Cinderella's Castle (Royal Table),,where we had pictures taken on her throne and then had the best table (in our opinion) in the house...right in the center with our own personal window,,they had decorated the table with mickey confetti which I scooped up and took home,,:) When we were done eating we got to watch the fireworks from our table! It was very romantic,,*smiles*. I didn't want to leave,,when we did finally have to leave,,we were given complimentary champagne flutes and our waiter took some pictures for us. Although I loved our whole trip,,that day really stands out :lovestruc

Well, aside from just being in Disney for the wedding/honeymoon :goodvibes probably my 2 favorite moments were:

After the wedding, we went back to POR, ran to the room, changed (except for my tiara - left that in), and ran to MGM. It was DH's first time on ToT, and the picture was priceless - his face, and the fact that my tiara stayed put!

We had lunch at Tony's and the Dapper Dans serenaded a couple celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary with "When you Wish upon a Star". They both got really choked up and it was very touching. After they left, the servers said that we needed to celebrate too (I had the wedding ears on) so they brought out a plate with a single strand of spaghetti and told us to reinact Lady and the Tramp's first kiss :wizard:

For us I'd say it was renacting Lady and Tramps proposal at Tony's. We also celebrated our 2nd annv. here and my DH was disappointed he didn't get to do L+T's first kiss this time ( he got meatball again).

I would also say the whole trip was a great memory as it was my first EVER trip to WDW.

We were lucky in that we had a lot of pixie dust memories from our honeymoon. If I were to pick two favorites they would be:
1. Dancing with DH to the music in front of the castle before the fireworks when a cm ran over and threw glitter over us.

2. talking with cinderella about our wedding and hers before we had dinner in the castle.

THere were many more some more involved than others but disney was wonderful to us. We were a little let down on the cruise afterwards we were so used to the treatment that disney provided.

Our best moment was arranged by a wonderful travel agent. We were eating at the living seas when we noticed a school of fish swimming towards us. In the middle of the fist was a diver with a sign that said congratulations to us. I almost fell over the chair trying to get to our camera, we couldn't talk. I was so blown away I was very close to happy tears. Just the thought now makes me grin!

There were so many other moments too like the cast member who saw our ears on the Pooh ride and gave us fast passes to the special congratulations dessert at Le Cellier. We went not expecting any magic and we found some every single day in one way or another.
