What was your childs first character experience?

Fun thread.

First character experience....Disney cruise ship in Jan 2013. DD was 2.5. DS was 6.5. DS loved it, but DD would run away. She was scared and wouldn't get near them (e.g. chip and dale, mickey)

Fast forward to our Disney World trip in October. DD was 5. DS was 9.
DS had no interest to stand in line and meet any characters (but then surprised us and still was happy to see the fab 5 at Chef Mickeys). DD loved meeting everyone....Sophia (first one), fab 5 at extra meet and greet at Epcot plus at Chef Mickeys, Gaston. And of course all the princesses. She got her autograph book out, gave hugs, but then was quite shy...even when they would ask her questions. Very cute though.

She also met Mickey and Goofy as well. We are going to MK on Thursday, and hope to get a lot more pictures with more characters, including some princess
