Last shopping trip of the year this morning before it actually gets COOLER! Disney trip supplies and New Year's Day dinner and I'm done spending money...until DW takes what's left!

We're all scattered with departure times! Allie and her 2 college friends are driving back and leaving Wednesday, Jan. 7th; WE'RE flying out Thursday morning, the 8th, at 8:30; Sara and Katie are flying on Friday and Treavor and his mother are flying on Saturday! Marathon is Sunday with lunch together at the Disney Springs Summer House afterwards. Sara & Allie ate there on one of their trips and really liked it; been wanting to try it so works out perfectly. I hit the jackpot today getting an early start on next year's Christmas gifts! Ended up with 8 gifts already...all at 75% off!

The Polynesian? (Got a picture this afternoon from my sister and niece at the Poly looking at Christmas decorations...it's SO pretty! They're staying at the Contemporary and said the gingerbread smells SO good!)

We're at Art of Animation; all that was left by the time we decided to go was in the Mermaid area . LONG walk to main building but hopefully we'll be closer to the Skyliner and the POP is right across the walkway so we'll probably be using that Food Court more than the AoA one! Allie and her 2 friends are at Old Key West and the rest of the group at the Coronado. Finally remembered last night to reserve Cast and Crew for our transportation! I'm NOT very prepared for this trip but we decided "to heck with it"...we'll do what we want when we wake up in the morning. We DO have dining reservations at Teppan Edo, Liberty Tree and Summer House and I DO want to see the new nighttime parade.

I love AoA but yes the LM rooms are so far away. I love the food court there too.

I'm getting excited; haven't stayed there since 2013 mainly because of the long walks to main area. When we stay at POP we book "preferred" so we're much closer but all "preferred" at AoA were full. We'll see where we end up and go from there. I agree...I DID love the Food Court and POP's is so good too. We'll probably just use it for breakfast but we're on dining plan so we'll have the refillable mugs and I use them a lot! Will be a long walk for a glass of tea! Need to get outside and get some work done this afternoon. Our "personal meteorologist" sent a text this morning to "anchor everything down" . Predicted winds of 40 mph tomorrow when cool front arrives! It's now 83 degrees and when that cooler air hits our hot, moist air we WILL have some "weather"!

Is it something for sake or part of the decor? Looks like a Mickey ornament. I’m guessing a teddy bear would be too easy. Maybe an elf?

An elf is close enough! I think it's more of a "jester" ... and it sure is ugly ... but I like the idea of an elf!
