What was your biggest food letdown???

I have a list of things that have rave reviews to try on our next trip to Disney. I did this last year on our first trip & most things were excellent! I can only remember 2 letdowns. Please don't throw stones at me when I say this, 1 was the school bread & the other was the dole whip. They just weren't my cup of tea.

So, what was your biggest letdown?

My letdown was Funnel Cake I wanted to like it, loved the sound of it, was really looking forward to it..... Had it.... and was really unimpressed.

I concur with dole whips ...AND.....Zebra domes..... why the hype? ...the Boma dinner buffet in general....and I love ethnic foods! ...I'm sticking with Mickey bars...

I actually had the zebra domes on my list last time but didn't get a chance to try one. I have since read that they have a strong coffee flavor. I definitely wouldn't like that so they were scratched from my list.

Ours was definitely Chef Mickeys. We had dined there other times, but this last visit was such a let-down. Barely anything we liked. Limited food choices. We won't be back.

The oreo bon bon cupcake from BW Bakery. Cute to look at but soggy oreos/flavorless icing = let down (and a waste of calories, lol).

CReam cheese pretzel. Not that it was bad, it just wasn't "all that".

Before I became vegan, Mickey Bars. I was more of a cookies n' cream ice cream sandwich type of person.

I'm with you on school bread. Didn't like that at all. Dole whips are ok, but nothing special to us.

Akersush! Way too chaotic, food wasn't the greatest and the table got soaked from a leak in the ceiling, refills never came, our check too a half hour to clear because they kept making major mistakes and then there was such a downpour when we left it really ruined the whole meal!.

Cupcakes from pop! They looked good but where not the greatest and way too sweet and I love sweet treats!

I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but ours was Ohana. We ALWAYS went..every trip and the last two times we went, food was too salty and service was terrible.

Speaking of 'Ohana, I didn't think the bread pudding was good at all and that gets lots of raves.

Narcoossee's. In my opinion, it's completely overrated.

Tie dye cheesecake at Pop. The red velvet cake part was so dry, and the cheesecake part tasted overwhelmingly like dye.

I blame the Dis for this . We didn't like the cheddar cheese soup at Le Cellier, or the cupcakes are starring rolls cafe. I think a lot of the foods that get hyped here fall short for us. Some we don't like at all...

Narcoossee's. In my opinion, it's completely overrated.

This was exactly what I thought of the second I read the thread title!

But I too agree that School Bread just doesn't do it for me...
