What was your bedtime

When I was very young we had to go to bed at 8:00pm. As I got older it slowly became later. In junior high it was 9:00, then 9:30. Now as an adult I go to bed at 11:00pm. I’m glad I had a set bedtime growing up, I needed my sleep and left to my own devices, would have stayed up much too late.

When I was a kid in elementary school it was 8 pm, so I had to be home by 730 pm to take a bath. Only kid on the block with such an early bed time, and in the summer all the other kids were still out playing when I went to bed.
For the brief one year period that I worked normal hours, bedtime was in the 11 pm to Midnight range, to be up at 8 am to be at work at 9 am
For 25 years I worked graveyard shift my bedtime was 9 am ( yes AM)
The past 10 years, it has been 7 pm to be up at 2 am to be at work at 3 am.

My kids bedtime varied. We aimed for 9 pm, but when it got to be about May and Little League games went until 830 pm, dinner was after that, then homework and a shower, we were lucky if it was 1030 pm. And even when the kids DID make it to bed by 9 pm, many times I had a face in each of the front bedrooms waving goodbye at 10:45 pm when I was heading to work when I worked graveyard shift.

Yes, I definitely remember it being summer, still light out, hearing kids PLAY outside and I was in bed and my dad was closing the drapes, lol I guess our parents knew best ;)

I believe mine was 8pm in the early elementary years, then it moved to 9pm until I finished high school. Weekends was 10 pm. I struggled in the morning hence the early bedtime. I had to get up at 6:30 for school.

I remember that too and I hated it so much. I remember it being summer and my bedroom window faced a court full of children outside playing at 8:00pm and I had to be in bed. It really made me mad that my parents did that, every one looked like they were having such a great time out there!

I never did that to my kids but did make them go into their rooms and read it go to bed at a decent time on a school night. My youngest is twelve now so I usually remind her to go brush her teeth and go to bed around 10:00-10:30 on a school night but on weekends I never cared.

No bedtimes except for school nights and I think that was just in elementary - maybe 9? I was a born night owl, as was my dad and brother, so my folks would have been swimming against the tide. My DH and his kids are also night owls. We have a bedtime for them, but it's definitely the hardest time of the day.

Growing up one of my fondest memories was staying up late watching old movies on Turner Classic Movies if anyone remembers that channel.

I don't recall having a bedtime- maybe I did in grade school but I don't recall it. I know in grade school we had to come in once the street lights came on- but in the summer that was just to "check in" and we used to go back out and play kick the can and man hunt in the dark. Jr & Senior high there was no bedtime. I never had one for my daughter either- from the time she was a baby she went to bed when I went to bed, even in grade school was the same. Her school didn't start until 9:30 and she never would sleep more than 8 hours so even if she went to bed at midnight she was still up at 8. I learned quickly not to put her to sleep as a toddler to early because 8 hours later she would be up!

Hard to remember exactly. I believe through junior high was about 10pm. Basically parents expected me in bed by the time they went to bed. High school, I didn't have one. I had a very demanding course load so they basically just trusted me to do what I needed to do.

I seem to remember it being 8:30 for a long time. I moved up to 9:00 eventually. When I was in high school it was 10:00.
