growing up ?

I never had one, my parents were strict with some things but not my bed time

Didn't really have one. It was encouraged that I was in bed at 9pm while in elementary school, and 10pm in junior high, high school. But my parents didn't really enforce a bedtime. But we were up by 6am.

I never really had one, either. It's not like there was anything to stay up late and do besides read. Now I have to make my kids go to bed by a certain time or they'd be up all night watching tv or playing video games.

Never had one.
My dad has a farm in addition to his then day job so basically from May to October he would work on the farm after work and we wouldn't eat dinner until 10pm.
That dinner time kinda became routine year round.
We usually ended up going to bed around 11pm but were never told its time for bed. We just were tired.

When I was very young we had to go to bed at 8:00pm. As I got older it slowly became later. In junior high it was 9:00, then 9:30. Now as an adult I go to bed at 11:00pm. I’m glad I had a set bedtime growing up, I needed my sleep and left to my own devices, would have stayed up much too late.

I don’t remember the bedtime exactly but it was right before Mary Hartman, that tv show came on and I would hear it and want to watch it but wasn’t allowed lol

but on the weekends and in the summer I could stay up to whenever. I do that with my kids too.

As a child it was 9 pm until 6th grade. Then it went to 9:30 until I was about 15 or 16. I rebelled and set my own bedtime. I was in bed around 11 pm.

Never had one. Nor did my own.
Never had a curfew either. I knew what was expected. Third in line of five.
Withstrict parents I knew better than to take advantage of things and like the nerd I was.. always felt responsible to do the right thing.
But I did make some .. not so great choices and consequences seemed to follow.
Like hanging in a bar waayyy to late with a friend, and being “bothered” I think they call it harassed now... then getting
Our tire slashed. Yeah... those were the days.

My parents were strict about bedtimes and curfews: 8 in gradeschool, 9 in middle school, 10 in high school. When we were driving/dating, we were allowed to go out one night each weekend (Friday or Saturday, not Sunday because that was a school night), and stay out till midnight. Prom night was the only night with a later curfew.
My kids had a bedtime in gradeschool, but not really after that. Our son would often go to bed before DH and I. Our daughter is a night owl, she'd go to her room when we went to bed, but would stay up for hours reading before she settled down. They never really had a curfew when out with friends, they would tell us when they expected to be home, and would update if plans changed. They were typically home by midnight anyway. They knew if they abused it, their freedom would have disappeared.

It changed as I got older. I don’t remember the exact ages it changed but it started at 8 and would go up by a half hour every couple years or so. By the time I was in high school I had to be home by 10 on weekdays and 11 on weekends but what time I went to bed was up to me.

Whenever M*A*S*H was on. One of my childhood memories is of me lying in bed and hearing the TV down the hall from the living room. I still can hear the opening credits soundtrack. Must’ve been out in syndication as it was every evening. WGN Chicago I am guessing after the news 9:30?

My bed time was you're getting up for school tomorrow.

My son's bed time was the same. It only took once for us to learn we better get to bed on time.

In elementary school, in the 60's we went to bed at 8:30. On Thursday nights we got to stay up until 9:00 to watch Bewitched. I don't remember what happened in Junior High.

When we were kids, it was ten p.m. When I started high school it jumped to 11. We didn't have a bedtime on the weekends, only school nights.

I don't remember bed time when I was really young. Jr High and High school I didn't have one, but I tended to go to bed fairly early and get up early to cram for tests etc.....still a morning person

Never had one. My kids never had one & as far as I know my grandkids don't have one.

When I was very young I remember I had to go to bed after My Favorite Martian so I think 8:00. Was I was a young teen I think I got to stay up til 9:30 and finally in HS 10:00 or later if I was reading or studying.
