What was the worst thing you broke as a child?

My moms parakeet. I accidentally stepped on it when it was on the ground. I never told her and oretended to be sad when she found it. I hated the thing.

I was pretty young (8 or 9?) when told to set the table I took out 8 plates, dropped them and broke 7. Fortunately it wasn't my mom's best china.

The light fixture in my room. I kicked a ball and it hit it. That didn't break it, but it coming loose and falling to the floor did.

A bone in my mother’s foot. I had kicked off my shoes behind the back door and one fell down the stairs. Later when she was going into the basement she didn’t see it, stepped on it and broke the bone.

A tiffany lamp at my Nana's house. I had a full leg cast after surgery and leaned on the table to get up and it tipped the whole table, dumping and smashing the lamp...I was very upset but Nana handled it with her usual grace and compassion.

probably the same. i jumped off a hassock and the tv (on at the time) just died. my mom (never came out and said it) was THRILLED-it gave her an excuse to get dad to go to the electronics store and we got our first ever COLOR tv!!!!!

My brother's tooth. He was drinking pop out of a bottle and I thought it would be funny to try and push into his mouth. I have no idea why I did that.
Also, all the cigarettes out of my parents packs. I snapped them all in half. Hey, it was the 70's. I wasn't making some grand statement, just being a jerk. Wow, I guess I was a really jerky kid.

i remember in the early 70's being able to go to the neighborhood stores and being able to buy cigarettes for my parents. in the later 70's if you went into larger cities (san francisco in my case) there were cigarette company employees with big baskets standing on street corners handing out free packs to anyone who remotely looked 18.

I broke a 78 speed vinyl record. I was playing with it and rolling it on the floor. The record was "Daddy's Little Girl", and at that young age, I thought my Father was the singer, and he recorded the song for ME. I felt absolutely awful when I broke it.

Just for fun a few of my friends and I were throwing stones at the side of the Church's Out Building right across the street from my house. I managed to miss the side of the building and hit a window! :scared: Told my DAD and he said that I needed to go to the Pastor's House, on the property just a bit farther away, tell him about breaking the window and see what my punishment would be.

Taught me to take responsibility for my actions unlike some individuals, be prepared to ACCEPT the consequences for those actions unlike some individuals and that honesty and sincerity is the best policy.

The Pastor was grateful that I fessed up and forgave me. :duck:
