What was the incentive when they started VWL?

We bought in Dec. 2000 and the only thing offered was MB and the interest rate they offer if you buy within 30 days. I think it was 9.5. The cost was $72 a point.

Magical beginnings was the only incentive offerred. The interest rate deal is standard on any contract, providing you purchase in the 30 day window.

Just curious, what was the incentive when they started selling VWL.
The ability to buy DVC with the best WDW theming around!!! :)

Okay, you didn't want a smart alecky answer....at least I waited until you got some real information first. ;)

Thanks Granny!! LOL

I am sure I read here that the 100 pt min for incentive was the same as VWL when they started selling. I guess it was MB.

Maybe it'll be park passes? How about 2.9% interest rate?

When DVC started selling OKW, it was a new (and untested) concept, thus the incentives. I think originally they planned on selling out in 15 years. Needless to say, it was a lot shorter time span than that. BWV proceeded to sell themselves both because of the DVC concept and location.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Granny I'll do you one better, we had 320 points at BWV and decided to add at BCV, ended up deciding to add 100 points at VWL, based on member reports on this board. Visited VWL on a business trip to Ocala (to eat lunch and visit model) and added another 35 points at VWL.
We now have 320 at BWV and 135 at VWL and can say we are very happy.
The real reward is 40 years of memoriies and great vacations. Think people like Granny, Pete, Doc, Pam,Dave,Dean, Werner, Rich and others on this board answer your question.
