What Walking Shoes Do You Prefer for WDW?

What is the best walking shoe for kids? Tevas and if so which ones should I consider if I want the waterproof ones. Thanks.

Kkana,
I had also been looking at where I could buy Teva's in Canada.
I bought my first pair in Orlando. Someone on this board recommended Softmoc.com, which is a Canadian website. :cool1:
I don't live near a major center, which makes shopping challenging. I ordered a pair of Tevas from Softmoc, which happened to be on sale and for this particular pair there was no shipping charge. I had them delivered to my door within a week of ordering. They were the Teva Pretty Rugged Leather.
I love them, and was extremely happy with the efficient service Softmoc provided. The pair I bought in Orlando were the Spoilers, which are available on the website, and at a comparable price to what I paid, considering the exchange. They have quite a selection of brand name shoes, worth checking out.
Good Luck!

Unfortunately, Softmoc won't be getting any more Teva's in according to a recent email I received from them.
I looked on their website and noticed there was a very small selection and none in my size (6). I emailed them and was told that they will no longer be getting any more Teva's in. :confused3
That really sucks...Zappos doesn't deliver outside of the US either.

If anyone knows of any other places in Canada to get these sandals, please post!

I don't know if this was mentioned in the thread already or not but what about just going to www.teva.com and getting them there? Is that an option?

In Canada, visit Softmocs - they usually have excellent service, even from the teenager who seems to run my local store.

My choice??

Clarks mules.... I have worn the same pair for years at WDW (68 dyas on last years AP) in heat, rain, cold... I often leave my room at 730am and don't return until fireworks time. (ie I walk a LOT, and I am known for my rather speedy stride) They never die. No blisters ever. They have a sort of sueded lining which breathes. My feet never get tired. They work with skirts, shorts, pants, etc

I love my original pair, but have bought a few more to keep them company. They usually run about $49 in the US outlets, and around $100 in Canada. Well worth it.....

And if you find that you need them mid-vacation, there is a Clarks outlet at the Premium Outlet mall by Little Lake Bryan, 5 minutes off Disney property.

Yep, I just might have to bit the bullet and order from Teva.com. I was just trying to avoid paying the horrendous customs fee that comes along with ordering outside of Canada. When you add that to the exchange rate and shipping, it adds up quickly!

When I was looking for information of where I could buy Tevas in Canada, I recieved a reply from the Teva Customer Service Canada:

cherib@rmpathletic.com

She let me know what stores sold Tevas closest to me, which happens to be Edmonton.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the heads up regarding Softmoc, sorry to hear that they won't be carrying them any longer; I really liked ordering through them.

Thanks for that email address Cujo! I'll definitely contact her.

My friend and I have been wearing SAS sneakers and shoes for years. I was advised by my podiatrist. They are expensive but last for a long time.

If you have a K-Mart anywhere near by...

Cuddlers brand shoes (by Cobbie) are excellent walking shoes. Very comfortable, well padded all around, and they have strong, durable no slip rubber soles. Cuddlers are very 'budget friendly' too, as they are usually priced at something like $19.99 or less.

I wear mine on a daily basis, in all sorts of weather, and wore them at WDW during our 2003 trip without any problems. They are well made and really hold up well over time. I've had my current pairs (one in suede finish, and one leather) since about 2002. And aside from a few scuff marks here and there, they look pretty much like they did when they were brand new.

I love my Keds sneakers! I just bought a new pair for our next trip. I also found the most comfortable pair of slide sandals made by Aerosoles. I can't wait to try them!!

Love my ecco mobile tennies. Want to get some Teva's. How do they run in the width? Usually I have to get shoes from europe bc they run wider in the toes without having a wide ankle. I hate to pay return shipping, but the rei.com site has some great deals!

I just bought pair earth shoes mesh tennis shoes sandels that I loved. They so comfy and don't slip my feet. They was only 15.00 dollars at Wal-Mart. Pair sandals from K-Mart that like called soho's tennis shoes that like. Have birkstock sandals that loved also. That remember I need a new pair birks because I wore my out.

I usually wear a 6.5 and have a wide foot. After reading the reviews at Zappos, I just bought a pair of size 6 Pretty Rugged Teva sandals. They are plenty wide enough, although there's a little more of the black velcro showing on the top strap than I would prefer. It doesn't really bother me though.

:cool1: :cool1: my vote is for teva's spent some money on them and 3 yrs later still wear them very comfy :cool1: :cool1:

Hate to bump this so high, but anyone know of a store that sells crocs in Orlando?
