we can put annuals & veggies in here--zone 4-- after Memorial Day.
I will be doing heirloom tomatoes, Cinderella pumpkins, bell peppers, cukes, hot peppers, Japanese eggplant, yellow squash, zucchini, Moon & Stars watermelon,
Lumina pumpkins, lettuces & corn. It sounds like a lot but, with the exception of the tomatoes & hot peppers, a few plants only of each. There just the 3 of us, & after some freezing & utilizing local produce, we really don't need that much.
I grow for the convenience of just popping outside & getting a salad. I also like to grow heirlooms or types that don't show up, or are too pricey, at local veg stands-
I do grow a lot of herbs. In the yard, in the garden, in pots, window boxes.. everywhere!
For some reason lavender does really well for me, although that's not supposed to be the case. This year I plan to really get a lot more lavender plants
As a child, I lived on Oahu. How well I remember the lush fragrances & vivid colors of the flowers.
