What valuables have you accidentally thrown away?

Many of my childhood toys. They're most likely worth a fortune on Ebay now.

These stories are causing me PAIN!

The thing I threw away was not so valuable, but I still hated that it happend. My kids were little, 4,2,newborn, and I somehow managed to have some snapshots enlarged to 5x7 to send to the Grandparents. I used to clean the counter by having a hand of trash and a hand of "keep." Yup, I found my pile of "trash" a few days later. Photos gone, negatives, gone, even the originals. It had been such an effort to DO it, I was crushed

I'm in a major declutter mood today...I'll be careful

I accidently threw out a priceless book thinking it was worthless. Wrong...

Books, even very very old books are so rarely valuable. What was the book you threw away? A first edition of something?

Somehow over the last year my daughter and/or I have managed to throw away 75% of our silverware. It's ridiculous. We're down to one fork, two spoons, and three knivess.

This happened to us a few years back - like where the heck was it going?? Then we ripped out our wooden deck to replace it & bingo! Here DS (then 3) fessed up to dropping it down between the deck boards "because he felt like it."

My DH has lost his military academy ring, nice watch, and other stuff.

I've thrown away things like GCs.
