what use year for add-on

question, if I were to do an add-on, what should the use year be. We have a March use year, but, I find we do a second trip (or first depending on how you look at it), in February, so what would be a good use year to purchase if I had to cancel and bank? Thanks. I seem to always be borrowing for the February trip, and if I did have to cancel, I'd be introuble!

If you add on throught Disney, it will be your same use year. If you buy a resale, you can choose your use year, but be aware that you would need enough points to book your reservation, so you would probably want a minimum of 150 add-on points.

I'd only need between 50-100 points, for this February, it's only 3 nights and in a studio it's only 42 points. But the problem is what would be a good use year for a February trip?

I'm one who doesn't think use year is that important. The only time it is important is if you are in the habit of cancelling, and then you would want a use year just prior to the time you usually travel. My point was, that if you are only adding on through Disney, they will only allow you to buy your same use year. If you are using points from 2 different use years for the ressie, you would have a similar problem unless you purchased enough additional points to stand on their own.

right, that was my thought, so if I bought say 50-100 vero points, because that is where we usually end up in February, that would be enough for what we do there. Then say December would be a good use year?

Yes, December would be perfect. I thought you were talking about adding on at your same resort. Sorry.

Adding on at VWL would be ideal, but I would end up with the same problem with a March use year and doing a 3-5 night trip in February. That's why I was thinking if I add-on at Vero, or even elsewhere, so I don't have the problem if I did have to cancel my plans for a February trip. Thanks again, I will start looking for a December use year, then hit DH up!!!
