What "unusual" things do you pack for a trip?

My somewhat unusal stuff:

Room deodorizer for the bathroom, air mattress/pump, moleskin for blisters, advil and migraine meds, band-aids, ziplock bags, tin foil, salt and pepper, cervical pillow, tequila and shot glass, bubble bath, dryer sheets, candles, hot chocolate, DVDs and video tapes. (I bring blank tapes too in case I want to tape something while I am at the parks to view later when I get back to the room).

I don't like the laundry tablets because I prefer liquid. I had always filled a 16 oz. water bottle with liquid laundry detergent. Now Target is now carrying concentrated liquid called Method. So I bought some for our next trip.

We take our stainless steel french press coffee pot, as well as our favorite coffee.

I travel with an extension cord and bottle of Tony's Sacherie seasoning because, sorry Floridians, you can't cook like we do in New Orleans. There has to be some sort of flavor in the food I am eating.

An iPod with over 2500 songs and A speaker system to hear it through. Our Segway HTs for DW and I. After our last stay the segway HTs go everywhere now. So many nice paths and trails at WDW. If you have never tried one, you should.

I also bring a ton of meds. Hey, you never know. Last Dec. I had to buy a pack of 2 pills of cold medicing in MGM and for what I paid for it, I could have bought a whole box full! I can't really think of anything unusual we take other than a portable little fan.

I can't sleep w/out the noise of a fan!

I've never stayed anyware that the pizza pans have been useable!

I always pack Suave Tropical Coconut shampoo and conditioner.

It's a bit silly but our first every DVC experience was at OKW and I had brought the Suave coconut. We had such a wonderful trip so ever since the wonderful coconut smell always reminds me of OKW.

So now, whenever we go to WDW I bring it along

chewing gum they don't sell it at any of the parks

Are segways portable? I mean, do they come apart so you can pack them?

Yes, the upright control shaft comes off and they lay on their side. I can pack four in a durango with seating for 5 adults.

for our next trip, I bought a cheap over-the-door shoe holder - the kind with clear plastic pockets. Everyone gets 2 or 3 pockets for all their "stuff". I also bring a night light, deck of cards, Brita water bottle and suction cup holders for toothbrushes.

i take a water filter that screws onto the kitchen sink - that swamp water they have tastes bad.

wooden clothespins. I bought a pack of them at the dollar store and I always throw 8-10 in the suitcase. They are marvelous for clipping shut the curtains that don't always stay together and let let sun in early in the morning. Use also for hooking clothes to the hangers and a zillion other uses. They are quite handy.
