I'm trying to plan another trip to Disney this year around Oct 20-24th, with hotel (at the pop), tickets, (5 day hopper) and airfare. Right now I have a quote for around $2300 for everything, although, I think we will wait on the airfare and see if Southwest can beat it. Anyone know if the $2300 quote can be beat by waiting (maybe with codes/cheaper airfare) or is this a good deal? Thanks

i'd book the package now, you put down a 200.00 deposit
if a better code becomes avaible then you can apply that code
i'd do that vs waiting and perhaps not having any rooms avaible for the resort i wanted...

The $200 deposit w/AAA is w/o the airfare included, if I include the airfare deal the deposit goes up to also pay for the airline tickets....so are you saying book everything and wait to see if Southwest can beat Delta?

I'm booked for the same time frame (10/19-10/23). I booked directly through WDW. We're staying at ASMo, 5 day park hoppers, and with DDP. The very nice CM I was speaking with when booking my trip found a discount that I was eligible for. I'm paying $971 (1 adult/1 child) without airfare. I'm waiting for Southwest to open up their dates (should be around mid-April) before I jump to book airfare. Right now the cheapest I've found is about $300/pp.

I would look at flying on airtran. i just book roundtrip tickets to orlando for $145. $62 each way. i have flown them many times and had no problems. they are an excellent airline and i would recommend them to anyone.

That is a great deal, how did she find a code for you?
The latest deal I found w/AAA for 2 adults & 1 child is 5 day/4 night and All-Star Movie, 5 day basic theme park passes, disney dining basic for 1422 if I add the flight w/Delta it jumps to 2236 and this is w/o insurance - which we will prob. add just for peace of mind.

I have no idea. There was an post on these boards about the dates the 40% code was good so I called to see if a code was attached to my name. I got a CM who refused to look. A couple of days later I decided to book the trip anyway and if I got a postcard or email I would apply it later. When I called to book I got a different CM who, after taking the reservation, asked if I would hold to see if he could find any discounts available to me. He came back on the line in less than a minute and said I had a discount and he applied it and my total was $971.
