36 days until our first WDW trip and I have no idea what to wear!!! Can anyone tell me your favorite shoes to wear on your vacation. And should I dress for comfort everyday....help!

Yes dress for comfort not style. I bring 2-3 pairs of shoes and rotate them each day. It helps eliminate blisters. Usually I bring a pair of flip flips, sneakers and sandals.

Make sure your shoes are good and worn, don't wear newish shoes. Wear the shoes you plan to take now and break them in.

This is very very important! Disneyworld is very very large (the size of manhattan) and so the amount of walking cannot be underestimated. I wore a new pair of sandals the last day of our last trip (they were cute and I was being stylish) it was the first blister I have had on any of our trips. Hurt like the dickens.

Otherwise clothing wise you'll see everything from casual tshirts and shorts to resort casual sundresses, polo shirts and khakis. Little kids can dress in costume.

I wore keens and my running shoes (asics nimbus). On the couple occasions I put on my old navy flips, my feet killed me! Must go comfort with shoes.

Shorts and skirts were my favorite to wear. I found capris to be too hot and jeans were gross in about 2 minutes.

I wish I had more pairs of Jockey Skimmies to wear with cute skirts--so light and comfy, but still covered in a breeze or climbing in and out of rides! I would have worn that every day. I saw lots of cute sundresses that looked comfortable, too. Next time I'll find some before the trip, and more Skimmies.

I wore Nike gel flip flops for 6 days in the park once, older tennis shoes another trip. Those particular flip flops felt like I was walking on clouds. I would recommend them again.

Side note: if you spray your feet with spray deodorant, they won't sweat=no sliding=no friction=no blisters!

Clothing-wise, go comfy, but remember you'll be taking lots of pictures, so keep that in mind. I like skirts/skorts with a fitted (not skin tight, but feminine-cut) tee shirt. A pair of earrings or necklace can pull it all together and make the simplest outfit look stylish.

I have WDW clothes. Lands End makes a really comfortable knit pair of pants and I have a weeks worth. I also have a ton of disney t-shirts (most from the disney store) that I wear with them. I have a couple wdw hoodies and a jacket. we always go winter. I take good, well worn tennis shoes and my crocs. LOVE being comfortable. All clothes just get folded and stored with travel stuff till the next trip.

If you are looking for a nice looking pair of shoes that are also comfortable, I would recommend that you look at Toms. Their regular shoes are very comfortable and I especially LOVE and cannot even begin to describe how GREAT their ballet flats are. I wore the black leather pair last trip and walked around EVERYWHERE from morning to night and my feet were in heaven! Also, looking back at our pictures, I loved how they looked with all of my outfits. Our first trip I wore sneakers, they were not clunky sneakers and were comfortable but I HATED the look of sneakers especially when I wore dresses.

But keep in mind, Toms are pricey, ESP the ballet flats, I think they retail for $80 or so, the regular Toms are about $45. And also remember to break in the ballet flats if you decide on those. I cannot tell you how important that is :)

As for outfits, I wore tanks and shorts and dresses on days I knew we would not be going on rides. At night I even wore jeans with a tank if it got a little chilly.

Good luck!

I bought a pair of Asics and broke them in before our last trip and they were really comfortable. I live in Rainbow flip-flops most of the time, but I found my legs got pretty tired from pushing a stroller up and down inclines. As far as clothes go, I either wore my regular t-shirts and shorts or athletic shorts/skirts, sports bras and moisture-wicking shirts. At the beginning of November, the weather is still pretty warm during the day but can sometimes get chilly at night. Bring a light jacket/hoodie and pair or two of jeans just in case. I always bring 2 sets of clothes for each day I'm there or I plan to do laundry. We always take mid-day breaks and I hate wearing sweaty clothes all day long if I don't have to.

Thanks everyone so much you are all so helpful. I have a pair of toms I love I'm taking them and I think a pair of tennis shoes. If it were up to me I would wear athletic gear the entire week!! Darn pictures!!!!!
