What to wear for Palo's for Pirate night??

I must say I'm quite pleased that DCL keep refusing people who wear the wrong clothing. I like the fact that there's a dress code in certain places ... Not that we go to either of the paid restaurants!

My husband was wearing khaki shorts and a polo shirt, and like the above poster, was given a pair of pants to wear. He was so embarassed that we almost left. I found it pretty ridiculous for brunch, personally, although had I been paying attention in advance I certainly would have reminded DH (being a rule follower in general). I just didn't realize that his outfit was considered inappropriate for brunch. (I saw plenty of women in nice capris - which I consider on the same level as nice khaki shorts for men - and no one was turning them away).

yes, that was for dinner, but she said he was refused for brunch...
i was wondering what attire was refused for brunch.
In our experience, brunch is more like country club casual, or resort casual, or cruise casual (all three being the same level of dressiness)...

No jeans, shorts or swimwear for Palo Brunch. DH wore dress shorts and a golf shirt and he was asked to put on long pants. I told him no shorts for Palo brunch but he didn't believe me. I wore casual pants and a nice top. He changed to dockers and a golf shirt.

We had Palo reservations on Pirate Night. We opted to change into our pirate gear after dinner. I wore a sundress to dinner and it was fine. I had a dressier dress but DH forgot his dress shoes at home and had to wear his khakis and a short sleeved dress shirt. I didn't want to be dressier than him so I wore the sundress instead. We didn't have a problem.

That's interesting!
I wouldn't have thought they would be ok with khaki pants for dinner. That's why I only booked us for brunch. Interesting!
