What to wear at DLR next week

I would have thought you would have had enough of high temps by now. Egad!

Really has not stayed hot, day after day. Start to get used to the heat and the next thing you know it drops off. I expect it to be warm while we are down in LA, not 70's and 80's. My wife will be cranky.

Mosquitos?? :scared1::eek: Noooooooo!!! Thanks for the heads up!! I will be armed on this trip!! I am looking forward to the cooler weather as well..it has been high 90's-100's for the entire summer here...ugh!!:headache: And, I have noticed that the parks always seem to be a bit warmer than the forecast predicts for the area. But, still..it beats 107 degrees by a longshot!!!:rotfl:

Well, we only saw them twice- both in DCA and both in the evenings. Some people near us were putting on bug spray. I've never seen them there before and I know people were asking about them before. I wouldn't call it a huge problem, but then they don't seem to bother with me much. Someone who gets bit a lot might want to be ready.

i been wearing tank tops and capri pants and flip flops to the park.. i been ok at night you might need a jacket though

We had a whole mosquitoes thread recently...and I kept telling everyone that we have them in SoCal. And no one was believing me (which was ticking me off). It may not be the South or other areas where there are gigantic mosquitoes, but take it from someone who has lived in SoCal for 43 years and has been bitten by them many times - they are here!

I told you so!!!!!:rotfl2:

Consider yourself vindicated! :rotfl: Unfortunately, I didn't think to get a picture of them! :lmao:

Oh wait, I did:

.

We were there about 2 weeks ago. Shorts & tank tops during the day and capris and sweater/jacket in the evening. This coming from someone who is always cold. Luckily we didn't encounter any mosquitos.

Consider shorts, t-shirt and flip flops/sandals (wear tennis shoes if highs don't hit 80). At night, always consider a light sweatshirt or wind shirt, and avoid flip flops/sandals.
