What to put into plastic Easter Eggs for egg hunt?

Costco has a 30 pack already filled down to 6.97. We picked up some special eggs.. tinkerbelle and spiderman to put money into. I am going to do outs on SA

My dad and stepdad do a egghunt every year. They take 2 eggs and wrap them in foil. Those usually have $5 in them. So everyone always looks for the silver eggs.

Money, stickers, tattoo's, I'm trying to keep the candy to a minimum since they get a ton of it when family arrives.

For young ones...

Goldfish Crackers, Raisins, Mini Marshmallows.

Now that mine are older we tend to put money and candy in them.

We did money, fruit snacks, erasers, stickers, and even some toy mice and treats for the cats.

We do money and candy. My kids would probably be heartbroken to find cheerios or goldfish in their eggs :goodvibes They are so usd to candy, that they would think the Easter bunny was off his rocker! :rotfl2: I wish he had thought of that 7 years ago!

We go to a big Easter egg hunt at our local grocery store every year, and they always get a ton of candy there. Sometimes the Easter Bunny re-uses that candy for their eggs. Shhhhh, don't tell.

I try to limit the candy to half of the eggs. So I usually buy a few different kinds of the individual size candies so she'll get some variety (and I don't wind up with extra!)

I usually fill the rest with jewelry, hair goodies, cash, maybe a gameboy cartridge anything small! But the easter bunny also brings her some toys that are to large for the eggs.

I think our girls are getting pet goldfish for Easter this year. I have toyed with the idea of putting them in eggs, but I am not sure how I would pull that one off. Maybe the goldfish bowl will have an egg inside it.

We do coupons good for different things like dinner choice, a free book, etc., plus DH will put sayings (like fortune cookie stuff) in some of the other eggs.

We did an Easter egg hunt one year for our kids. We filled the eggs with many of the same items you all have mentioned, including the little individually wrapped Reese's. DH and I went out around 7:00 and hid the eggs, the girls went out around 8:30 or so. The girls enjoyed the hunt but so did the squirrels! They broke open all of the eggs that had peanut butter cups in them. I will look to see if I can find the pictures I took--they're pretty funny. In later years, the eggs were hidden inside the house!
