Planing on hiding a bunch of the plastic eggs next Sunday - this will be a 1st for us! I want to hide them outside (if that matters) and want to know what others put inside the eggs? Participants - DS6, DD5 (Birthday girl on Easter), and maybe my 4YO niece.

Jelly beans, the small Hershey eggs or candy coated chocolate eggs, or even do like my neighbors did and throw some spare quarters in. Dollar bills are nice to find too

Walmart and Target have cute eggs already filled, We had an Easter egg hunt to day for DS's playgroup at my house. One mom brought Willy Wonka eggs that had suction cups on them and strings hanging off , the dads suction cupped them to the swingset and hung them off of tree branches, it was sooo cute. I bought cute little Willy Wonka boxes that were ducks and bunnies filled with candy. They were about 4.00 for 12.

If you dont want to fill with candy, I would put stickers in them.

don't put chocolate in it if it's going to be warm out, they melt very easily. Put hard candy, coins, $1 bills, small toys you can find at the party store!

Good question, I've been struggling to find things too! My kids are 3 1/2, and I don't give them much in the way of candy, they don't need that. I usually give them a few M&M's in them and then money in the others. I just don't like that all those pre-filled ones are pretty much all candy! And I can't seem to find anything small enough to fit in our eggs. But that's OK, their baskets are filled with plenty of other things!!

Cheerios. I have used these since DS's first Easter, when he was 11 months old. I give candy now also (he'll be 4 in a month) and figured this year he'd rather that, but he's already mentioned the cheerios from last year, so I guess there will be some this year too :)

I used coins and disney dollars and the golden egg had a $20 in it.

I want to put Disney Pins in a few eggs this year.. Disney Dollars and stickers, coins etc.

The past few years I found egg-shaped sidewalk chalks that fit in the larger plastic eggs and used them in our hunts. Didn't see them in the stores this year, though.

This year it will be quarters, dollars, Disney dollars and A&W Rootbeer flavored Jelly Belly's.:lmao:

Of course the usual small individually wrapped candies, dollar bills, quarters, and of course Disney trading pins. I found some cute sports themed eggs (soccer, baseball, basketball) at Big Lots this year (about 12 in a package for $1) that I will put the non candy items in for DD13 and DS9 (who both love to play all these sports).

Oh, that's a cute idea! They both love the yogurt cheerios!! I may try that with one or two...

And I forgot that I did buy playdough filled eggs at Target, so maybe I'll check to see if they'll fit inside the other plastic eggs.

For my toddler I put goldfish crackers, raisins and other small finger foods. For my older child I put small snack foods he likes, a few jelly beans or skittles or other candy, and some coins. I also put some stickers in some; they both love stickers.

Temporary tattoos would be a hit with them, too... :scratchin

Duh!! That's a great idea!! My kids LOVE yogurt raisins!!! I actually buy them in bulk all the time, like 10 lbs. at at time!! There's a nut and candy store right by is that has them on great prices, and even on sale sometimes, so then I stock up!

hair accessories, nail tattoos, coins or bills, candies, small toys like a set of jax, polly pockets, etc., stickers, coupons (good for a date with Daddy, to get nails done, skip a chore for a day, etc.)

Do not forget to either write down where you hid all of the eggs or remember the number. It's brutal those last couple of eggs.....we end up playing hot and cold with the kids lol

We just put in candy and money...Easter is the day that for breakfast it is all about candy LOL. The whole family has candy fo breakfast, we don't cook or make anything at all! My daugher thinks that it the best thing in the world!
